  1. There is an insurance section in the post you might get a better response there. My insurance changed to but I am still in my 90 days post op so they don't charge for the fill yet. My insurance will cover the visit but any procedure is extra and fills are $200 dollars. Sorry this happened but keep up on your progress. Wish I knew more.
  2. I stalled when I started eating mushies and solids but stuck to the program and now have started to lose again. I think our bodies just need to adjust and we need more patience (ya a hard concept for me too) but hang in there stick to your program and you will start to lose again. Let us know how you are doing and congrats on the weight loss!
  3. b-two slices turkey, one string cheese l-pure protien bar d-pork chop, 1/2 cup green beans s- suger free fudgecycle It was a good day!
  4. My surgery went great was in at 7am and out by 1pm. My Dr gave us the prescription the day before so there would be no problems and the center called that night to check on me and make sure I was all right. I had the e-mail of the PA's and have asked them a hundred questions they were alway very kind and reassuring. Just goes to show you the difference in the experiance.
  5. Please hang in there it is hard at this stage and I also wondered why i did this during this period. But let me tell you when I can eat 1/4 of a cup of egg beaters and be full, or 1oz of beef jerkery for lunch I am so happy i stuck it through. I have never felt full in my whole life till the band. So please keep in touch and know it does get better quickly. When you start seeing the results you will be so happy.
  6. Wow you guys I really hear you, I can eat regular food now got banded June 11th and have my first fill July 20th. But food is such an emotional thing, last night got very down for no reason I am doing well eat my meals and don't have hunger in between, but I guess I morn the lose of my friend. On the up side I have lost 15 pounds can walk 3 or 4 miles at a time now. I just need to be patient because I want it to come off faster even though I know it took awhile to put on. I love this forum I feel like I know the stories and the journeys. Well here is to all of us and our new travels. Going camping this weekend so ought to get lots of exercise hiking! Take care everyone and keep in touch!
  7. My heart goes out to you, I know I thought about why I was doing this when I was so good about sticking to the liquid part of the process. But I know the reason for me is of course I can stick to a plan for a while and have lost a million pounds again and again. The point is I never keep it off and this time I will because of my friend the band.
  8. I was told no pills bigger than a pea if you can cut it in that size you can take it but follow the directions of your DR, they are the professionals!
  9. Wow I am really interested in your story I would like to know what your Doctor tells you (if I'm not being to nosy). This time post op has been really hard for me too. I keep freaking out is it time to be on pureed or mushies and keep e-mailing the RN where I had my surgery done. So keep in touch.
  10. omg i laughed till I cried when I read this, had to grab my side where the port is .
  11. Any pharmacy just a strechy band called a rib support, wraps around your middle and doesnt let it jiggle hee hee!
  12. Hey all, I was banded June 11th too. It was fine except for the port pain, went and bought a rib support and it really helped, Was only 17 dollars and worth way more, I can walk 3 miles and stand up with no pain.
  13. Mine was about 2 months you can get things done as fast as you want or take alittle more time. Good luck I was banded June 11th and am doing pretty good so far.
  14. Hi all, I was banded June 11th and except for the port pain have done pretty well. I was getting really worried about going back to work on Wednesday and not grabbing my gut all the time (they don't know I had this at work). I went and bought a rib belt it is made of elastic and supports were the port is. OMG it made such a difference, they are only about $17 dollars and now I can get up and down out of chairs normally. Thought this might help others.
  15. Hey guys I am right there with you, was banded June 11th. Still can't get more than a 4oz shake and some soup down in a day. The smell of food makes me want to lose it (never thought I's say that)! I do find walking helps and did a long walk this morning, Of course now I'm going to chill and play on the computer. Hang in there I have faith it will get better. My biggest gripe is the pain where the port is but oh will.
  16. I was banded yesterday June 10th and feel the same way. It will be interesting to watch our progess. I am sore but still went for a short walk today will do a longer one tomorrow. Good luck bandster buddy!
  17. I hear you thats why I have told very few people, I did not want them watching me. Hang in there when we get down there and start to look good they will have comments then too. It like if they focus on what your doing they don't have to look at themselfs!
  18. Good for you I am so excited my surgery is the 11 of june and I am sooooo ready. Although the liquid part of this is quite a test but we will make it through.
