  1. I am in the same boat. I was banded on Oct 1, 2009 i now have 6cc and no restriction. My dr is now going to do a fill under fluro next week to see what's going on. I'm praying nothing has happened to my band.

I've read alot of post and realize i have to be patient but it's getting harder and harder to stay strong. I'll have my answers next week and hopefully be at my sweet spot.

  2. Ok so i was banded on Oct 1st. I lost 20 lbs pre op and 20 right after banding. i have not lost any weight since 3 weeks after surgery. In fact i gained 2 lbs last month.

I've had a fill every month since Dec. I am now 6cc in a 10 cc band i have never felt any restriction. I called my dr yesterday because i'm getting so frustrated. He suggested doing a fill under fluro next week.

Can someone please tell me the diffrence in this fill. Are there questions i need to ask? Has this happened to anyone and once the fluro is done do you have the restriction you've always desired? Help i'm kinda nervous about this. I hope i haven't ruined my band in any kind of way.

  3. OMG. I am sooooo frustrated. I too can eat anything i want. I was banded Oct 01, 2009. Pre op i lost 20 lbs post i've lost 20 lbs. I have not lost any weight since my 6 week check up in fact i gained 2 lbs last week. (spring break)

I'm like beginning to wonder did they trick me into beleiving i have the band but really don't. I currently have 5.5 cc's and my Dr's will only put .5 in per visit at this point due to them saying most ppl have restriction between 5 and 8 cc's. well i don't wanna wait another 2-3 months to feel something.

Sorry i just had to vent. I'm ready for my Sweet spot like NOW. The more i stress over this the more i tend to eat. It's a mind game i know. But my mind is controlling me right now and i need to take back control.

  4. Starting Size: 22 pants 3x tops

Current size: 16 pants XL tops

I feel: So happy to be able to shop in a normal store.

I nned to work on: Getting my Protein in and fighting the chocolate monster.

Hi my name is Tracie and i'm a "Chocoholic" I allow myself a bite size piece of candy each day. And if it's that time of the month i may have more. If' i could just stay away. lol

My goal is to be a size 12.

  5. OMG Melspage! Totally understand what you just explained. I got a fill yesterday so today was the first time i could eat something. For Breakfast i normally eat 1 packet of instant oatmeal and today i could only eat half of it. And for lunch i ate 3/4 cup of Chilli @ 12:30 and i'm still full and don't think i'll be able to eat dinner. I think i really ate to much. I don't have any pains but i feel stuffed. lol

I think maybe just maybe i'm at my sweet spot. I have 5cc in a 10cc band. I go back to the Dr on March 8th and hopefully i will have lost a few pounds at least cause i haven't lost any in 2.5 months. Not gaining either.

Good luch everyone your time will come it may take time but it will happen just ahng in there.

  6. I had a procedure done right before my band surgery and i worked wonders. I suffered from PF for 2 years. I tried PT, inserts in my shoes night splint, injections and what ever else. I found a Dr who told me about a procedure called TOPAZ.

I went in on a thursday and walked out. I went back to work on Monday. If you google Topaz procedure there is a video that tells you all about it and shows you the procedure. Good luck,

    Tracie

  7. Hello all i was banded October 1st 2009. I had a pretty good recovery. With in the first 2 weeks i lost 15 lbs. Since the 2 weeks after surgery i've lost 3 then back up 2 and now nothing.:frown:

I can be honest with you all and say i have not been the best band patient. My daughter has been in and out of the hospital for the past month. My stress level is way high. I've done my best at what i can do with not being home to prepare meals. Not giving excuses.

I have a 10cc band with 5.5 fill. I feel nothing. I can eat whatever and how much ever i want. I am really wondering if there is something wrong with my band or am i the cause of feeling nothing? My hair is starting to shed due to not getting enough Protein in. I'm hungry 3 hours after i eat. If i kept eating i could possibly eat as much as i did before surgery. Excersise is not in my vocabulary anymore due to my daughter being so ill lately.

What shall i do to get back on track? :( I feel like i've went through this surgery for nothing. I feel like a total failure. I do have a Dr appt on Monday and i'm praying he'll check my band and give me another fill. Any help would be great.

  8. Hello all,

I've done a terrible thing and i'm so scared to go back to the Dr. I have an 8 year old daughter. She has a serious heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart has had 3 open heart surgeries. The stress with all that led me to the weight i was. (252) Also her father passed away while i was pregnant. So i've done this alone without him. I am a stress eater.

Well she was hopitalized on Dec 26th with some lung issues and stayed 9 days. Well we all know how hard it is to get good food while in the hospital. My nerves got the best of me on day 4 when they were talking about surgery. Long story short i've gained 7 lbs back.:)

I go back for another fill on the 13th. What will he think of me what will happen? Will i have to loose that weight before he fills me agin? I'm so scared to go in there i've thought about canceling the appointment. I'm so embarassed to show my face.:smile2:

    Help what should i do?

  9. Thank you all for the encouraging words. I just didn't think it would be this hard. I was hoping my band would really work with me and it feels like it's working against me. I may see if i can get another fill sooner than my scheduled appt 12/29. I just got another monday and i'm at 2cc's but it's doing nothing for me.

Keep me in your prayers cause i struggling.

  10. So a little about me. Starting weight 252, i was banded on Oct 1st weighing 232. I've had a very good recovery except for a little bit of gas pain. Sincy surgery i've lost about 13-14 lbs. I can't seem to get anymore weight off of me.

I've had 2 fills and still no restriction. I only have 2cc's in. I don't knkow what else to do. I can eat just about anything and as much as i want. I'm feeling like this tool i have is letting me down. Excercising 3 times a week. Doing my best at portion sizes. What's my problem now why can't i loose any weight. I have only lost 1.5 lbs in 7 weeks. I feel like such a failure.:w00t:

When i get stressed i turn to food and i know that's not the thing to do but i'm loosing my drive. I have the band to help me and it's not doing what i paid for it to do. My Dr will only fill 1cc per visit. When am i going to get restriction? Somebody please help me.

  11. It's so great to know that there are so many others going threw the same things i am. I was banded on Oct 1st. At my 2 week post op visit i had lost 15 lbs. I was so excited. Since then i have not lost one ounce. I went for my month check up on Nov 2nd and got a fill of 1cc. I was really hoping for more but my Doc wants to take it slow.

So since the fill i am still getting hungry between meals just like i have a bottom less pit. I'm scheduled for another fill on Dec 1st. I have started working out slowly and am trying to stay off the scales. lol

I hope we all pick up on the weight lost. Good luck to all.

  12. Yea i've been released. I have been so frustrated lately. I was banded on Oct 1st. The first two weeks i dropped 15 lbs. Since then i have not lost any weight. I went in Nov 2nd and was only given 1cc fill.:smile2: i have no feeling of a restriction at all. So tonight i'm going back to the gym.

Any suggestions one things to try since this is my first time in the gym after banding? I don't want to pull anything. lol

  13. I think i was more scared about the fill then i was the surgery. lol It was not bad at all. My dr numbed the area first and that's the only thing i felt except for the pressure of him finding the port.

My dr layed me on the table with a pillow behind my back. Cleaned the area, numbed it then had me to act as if i were doing cruntches. It took maybe 5 minutes if that long.

    Good luck.
