    Valentine Day Challenge?

    I lost 1.4 pounds this week. Only 1.2 pounds away from my goal of 224. I'm going to make it!

    Out and about 4.5 months post-op

    Hi Missy, I wanted to thank you for posting your progress pics on this website. Your before pics look just like me. Your results have been a real inspiration. You look great! I'm still not banded (hopefully within the next month or two), but I am really looking forward to it. I wish you continued success with your journey.

    Valentine Day Challenge?

    I started this challenge at 238.6. I lost another 2.4 pounds this week! I am now at 226.6, 2.6 pounds away from my goal.

    "trial liquid diet"

    My surgeon requires a pre-op liquid diet so that I can shrink my liver prior to the surgery. He is very conservative and wants to make sure that there are no complications on surgery day. Since he will need to move the liver to the side when placing the band, it needs to be as small as possible. If my surgeon sees a large liver when he opens you up, he'll just close you up and then you have to go through the whole process again. For that, I'm not taking any chances. I'm going to follow the 10 day liquid diet and make sure that I have a successful surgery. Good luck everyone!

    "trial liquid diet"

    My bariatric clinic gives everyone in my lap-band program homework. One of our homework assignments this month was to go on a 3 day trial liquid diet. I thought that those three days would be really tough for me, but they weren't. I drank protein shakes for breakfast and lunch and ate sugar-free jello, Greek yogurt, tomato soup and drank FF milk throughout the day. I lost 7 pounds in those 3 days and I was consuming about 1200 calories a day. I have never experienced such rapid weight loss. That was over two weeks ago and I haven't regained any of that weight. I'm actually looking forward to my 10 day pre-sugery liquid diet. Maybe I'll drop 10 pounds in those 10 days!

    Valentine Day Challenge?

    Thanks to PMS, I didn't lose much weight this week. I was only able to lose 0.4 pounds, not even half a pound! My weight is 229, which is 9.6 pounds from my starting weight. I'm going to get to my goal of 224! We have 3 weeks to go.

    I weighed in at 229.4 today. That's 2.8 pounds lost this week. I'm 1 pound away from my original goal of 228.6. I'm changing my goal to 224 by Valentine's day.

    My goal was 10 lbs by 2/14. Last week I weighed in at 238.6. As of this morning I am 232.2, down 6.4 pounds in 1 week! I might actually lose enough weight to get a sugery date. I need to be 226.5 or less to get a surgery date.

    I'd like to join the challenge also. I'm pre-band and I gained weight over the holidays, the bariatric clinic is not happy with me right now. Current weight: 238.6 Goal for 2/14: 10 pounds down, 228.6

    Thank you! I will just have to practice some patience for the next 6 months. I will definitely attend the support meetings.

    Last week I went to the intro meeting with Dr. F's office. I'm really excited about having the Lap Band surgery. Did it take all of you the full 6 months to actually have the surgery done? I'm so anxious and want this to ahppen already. Thanks! Jay
