  1. I eat high proteins and low carbs. veggies are important carbs, and the only things i don't eat are Rice, Peanuts (other kinds of nuts are fine), Corn, Bread unless its toasted (and not all the time), and nothing with carbonation as carbonation stretches the stomach (this is what my dietitian told me not to ever eat again, as they could clog over the small opening of the stomach). Other then that i eat small portions,. I also watch my sodium as it makes me swell up. I was never told to only eat crunchy foods, I started with soft foods in the beginning, and slowly added other things. I stay away from chips and candy of course but do eat fiber bars to cure my chocolate craving, It's all in how things are prepared and the portions, and exercise of course. You need small amounts of healthy fat such as Avocado's (sparingly) as you need some fat to lose fat. Don't give up, you will be glad you stuck it out. Remember small portions, chew it well and enjoy it. don't eat to fast, and drink plenty of water between meals not while your eating though as you want the food to fill you so your not hungry and snacking in between meals, the water/fluid will keep you satisfied between meals. If my dietitian told me that i would of lied to, to get my band fill lol. Good Luck!

  2. I had my first fill yesterday, I was surprised how quick it went and i had no pain at all, just a little stick from the needle to numb the area He added 3cc to start and there was already 4cc's in there. This isnt the dr. that did the Surgery, But i was lucky to get him to take over my case for the fills, Since i flew out of state to have the surgery done. I wish i had found him before my surgery but looked in my area and couldn't find anyone that took Medicare. Anyway He said it is very rare he wil except another Dr's patient, but under the circumstances he would take mine. :)

  3. Good come backs Band_Groupie,

I also see her rude remarks and a lack of self exteme, Maybe she is not willing to do what it takes in the long run , and if she falls into the same yo you syndrom as alot of us do. It will catch up with her later, I lost 96 pounds on my own but did gain it all back plus alot more. so doing it on her own doesnt mean she is any better that you, because you got the help to get where you want to be. you chose to have the surgery to get the results you want, Which shows you are determined to do what it takes. Keep up the good work and don't pay any attention to her. After all she doesnt matter, You Do!!!

  4. I wish you very good luck on your weight loss journey, I completely understand where you are coming from , with your job and the eating. I did dispatch work for a year for a cab company. The drivers all knew how much i loved my Starbucks coffee and would buy me a gift card every couple weeks. and even go get it for me, Large venti Caramel Macchiado/ one pump of chocolate with whip. yummy. but in that year i put on over 100 pounds. Not all the Starbucks fault either as i would love to cook for the drivers. and with my boss and his wife we would barbaque every tuesday for them as well. Holidays would have all the trimmings. I guess they were very spoiled cab drivers hahahaha. Anyway here i am learning how to eat correctly and get the weight off once and for all. Living with my grown kids isn't easy when they eat everything in site and bring home all the wrong things. but i'm learning to ignore their food. and i a very impressed that i'm doing very well. I have my first fill on the 23rd of this month and after losing 26 pounds so far am looking forward to losing more and a new life for me. Good Luck and i will continue to follow how your doing :o btyboop58
