i haven't been banded yet, but i have still told most of my friends. one of my friends is coming with me the day i have my surgery and staying with me a few days afterwords and helping me do what i need to do for school and what not because i can't miss that many days. telling the majority of my friends was not easy, i just came out with it but they have told me they are just worried about the risks involved, not the actual surgery. they are really understanding. some people are less understanding and claim i am taking the easy way out, but over all i have the best friends anyone could ask for in regards to the surgery.

Well Hi. My name is Erin and I will be getting banded on my 18th birthday this coming december. I was just wondering if you could tell me about the post operation process. Did the weight come off quickly at first, or what? Has the band put a damper on your social life at all? What kind of foods should I avoid? I figured since you were banded so young you would be able to help me. I assume the college experience will be a little different, eh lol. Alright well get back to me!
