  1. You look awesome!! Did I read right.....you started out at 270 lbs? If so, thats what I started at...I've been banded two months and so far have lost 21 lbs. I figure if I keep that up thats 120lbs in a year......You are another inspiration to add to my optimistic outlook!! Thanks for sharing!

  2. That is so awesome! You guys are blessed to have one another! Cherish every single day!! I was married to a man like that for 17 wonderful years, until he was killed in a car accident in 2003....I miss him dearly!

  3. Btw....your beautiful!

  4. Hi Bloo!! We have alot in common!! First of all I too have blue eyes! LoL!! I too have elected lap band!! Banded 06/04/09 so I'm just starting!! I hope I have the success you have had! I am dedicated and driven! And last but most importantly!!....I too have 4 boys!!!! I'm a single mom though due to losing my husband in a car accident....but God has a plan....right?? Thanks for the inspiration, maybe you can share some of your trade secrets with me! Take care! ~Tracy

  5. Hello!! I hope your well! I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that I got banded on 06/04/09. I have admired your drive and willpower since before I was banded. I knew that I was determined to be successful but your story has confirmed in me that I know I can do it!!! So far everything has been great, I have followed instructions to a tee! I too have to be low carb. My Doc started me on solids this week, so far so good. However, I am aware that I have no restriction and I do feel hunger pains. But my drive is so strong I refuse to deviate! I control my portions, eat 3 meals and 2 snack (healthy) per day and have been walking and started back on my bike this week, riding about 3-4 miles per night! I've lost 15 lbs since pre-op but haven't seen the scale move but 2-3 lbs since. I am confident that the weight will start dropping!! Sorry if I've rambled.....I'm just so darn STOKED!!!! Thanks for sharing your inspiration!!!! ~Tracy :)

  6. Hi Tina, I am so impressed by your success I was wondering if you would share some info with me. I am 3 weeks post op, I have dropped about 15 lbs. I've started on mushy foods and back to exercising. In the past week I haven't lost anything. I am staying low carb/low fat. How long did it take for you to begin to see consistent results? I know this is not a quick fix or a magical tool....but I know it is a tool and I'm committed to using it properly.

  7. Thanks for all your low card recipes!! I really helped to jump start my memory from Atkins! And they sound so yummy.......

  8. Hi Melissa, Thank you for adding me as your friend. I have been admiring your success....I hope to model myself after the choices that you have made. I have already copied several of your recipes and eating choices and are going to use them. Thank you for sharing. I am just starting my mushy stage but always looking forward and paving the way with a plan, because without a plan is how I get in trouble....LoL!! I hope and pray this is the last time in life that I have wage war with my weight...the rest of my life I can maintain at a more comfortable battle....thanks again for sharing and please keep up the inspiration.

  9. Thanks for your reply!! You are a very strong inspiration for me. I am 5'6 and am currently wearing a size 22...thanks to baby boy #4...LoL! And, WOW...you lost all that weight in less than a years time??? As far as eating goes what would you say is the most important or most helpful thing you ate during the day....I'm a little nervous about how to get the best and easiest form of protein. Thanks for sharing your experience with me! It means alot, I don't know about you but I contemplated this decision for over 3 years.....
