I'm kinda worried...
I was banded on September 28, 2010 and I haven't vomited one time. I am very careful about my intake and I also can eat and digest anything i want. I'm down like 45lbs. Which is really good considering. If you are careful with your intake you should be just fine. I was nervous at first too about the not vomiting thing but after a few days I just considered myself blessed. Good Luck

OMG! you will be feeling better in no time. i was banded on a tuesday and that following monday i was ready to roll, however my family wouldn't let me. they did everything i needed them to do and then some. I have been buying those tuna lunch kits to keep in my desk at work. I do need to start back drinking at least one Protein shake per day. Maybe I'll do that starting tomorrow when I go back to work. Anyways congrats to you on joining the bandsters this journay will be long but it will be so rewarding

Rambling On
Finally, I've been motivated to exercise. I was banded back in Sept 2010 and I decided to wait until around 90 days post op to begin a decent exercise regime. My daughter plays basketball and fortunately for me her high school is brand new which includes a state of the art exercise facility and a indoor track. I've been hitting the track 3 times a week for at least a hour. My latest accomplishment has been 30 laps in 60 minutes. Now let me just say this my mouth be dry, my legs burn like crazy and my breathing is finally getting better. The down side for me is my hair!!! My edges get nappy pretty quickly from the sweat because my hair is natural and pressed out not relaxed. Moving on. I only know I'm losing weight because other people tell me. I don't own a scale. I have missed my last two doctor appts because of the snow and bad roads here in Michigan. I know I need a fill for several reasons the main one being when I went in for my last fill the darn nurse couldn't get any in the band but somehow she managed to take some out probably leaving me without anything at all. I want to start working on my arms and toning my belly down but I'm afraid I'm going to somehow hurt the band. Any suggestions on this would be great. What are you guys eating for Protein? How many meals a day are u getting in? I'm just releasing some thoughts that have been on my mind.

Good Feeling
Geez I feel so good right now. Yesterday when I was in church one of the mothers hugged me and whispered in my ear "dont think I haven't noticed your losing weight". I hadn't even thought about it really. But just to hear another person acknowledge they can see something changing on you is confirmation that I did the right thing. Milestones no matter how big or small should be celebrated so of course I left church and went straight to the mall, lol.

Severe Leg Pains
I am experiencing a huge amount of pain in both of my knees. I have no reason why this happening. Its so bad in the mornings I can hardly stand up but it doesn't go away after I'm up and moving. When I went and got my fill last week the doctor asked if I had any pain in my calves but I didn't so naturally i said no. I honestly dont have pain in my calves its my darn knees. I hope this isn't a side effect of the fill cause I'm going to be pissed.

Going back to work tomorrow & NERVOUS!
Tomorrow is my first day back as well. I keep thinking I need to go to Super Walmart and get some items for this week. I have some protein shakes left over from my initial full liquid diet and I plan to use those at work. I also found some small cans of chicken salad, tuna salad, salmon salad with crackers. I'm very excited to return to work only cause i miss my fat azz checks, lol. Good Luck tomorrow and the rest of this week cause we are going to need it.

Week 3 Post Op Eating too much
I'm three weeks out of my surgery and I've been able to eat pretty much anything. I have however been eating small portions at a time and I've also been selecetive about the foods I eat. I just had my first whole grain pasta with turkey sausage and it was delicious. I suggest getting out and walking when you can and eat things that are high in protein so your body can continue to heal.

Popcorn
i tried some this evening and it was good no complications but i do remember the dietician saying it was a slider food. I was just wondering how people are doing with it

2 days post op and in pain.....Scaredy cat
Walking is the best thing you can do for your gas pains. I agree with the other users ask your doctor for a liquid pain medicine like Loratab. That's what I had and it worked wonders for me. The initial pain wore off for me around day 4. I'll add you to my prayer list for a speedy recovery.

Holy cow, you guys! Look at me!

1 Darn Pound
I had my surgery 8 days ago and I have only lost 1 freaking pound. So is this normal or what cause I swear I don't think my band is in there. I can't feel any restriction in my tummy. I'm glad I go to the doctor tomorrow.
