Don't know if I'm doing this right, riley jane or is it jane riley LOL but trying to reply to you! this pic is about 3yrs old & I'm about 15 or 20 pounds smaller here. I don't have any fat pictures (except from my wedding day in 1995-250lbs) - refuse to take em' so don't let the photo fool you LMAO. I can try to scan one or two of them to get em on here

Most of that was pre op but I'm tryin to keep up with you, supa-star!!! I've only lost 12 post op and it's been 6 weeks! Grrr! I feel handicapped since I can't really work out. I had a rather large Hiatal hernia that was fixed at the same time - lotsa swelling!! My Doc said probably 12 weeks, then possibly we can fill this sucker up and I can get to workin out. Seriously, we gotta get you out here to speak at our little group - all of us girls are at the "kaiser richmond pre op" forum and they LOVE you! You should pop in and say hi

I was just chatting with the girls about taking up a collection for air fare & hotel. We would have a blast! let's try to plan it for after the hollidays!! I can't tell you how much we would get out of hearing you speak and actually meeting you! You were the first person I saw on this site that made me see that it was possible to do this! I point everybody to your page LOL Seriously, you are an inspiration and I greatly appreciate how brave you are to put yourself out there like you do!

Can I ask you how you stayed so motivated during the process? I imagine your mirror keeps you motivated now

Hope I didn't put you on the spot. People pop in and out all day long that we don't know so we never say anything... I wanted the girls to know who you are - check on page 174 when you can - they were welcoming you. Some are banded & some aren't. They are very helpful to me - Join in whenever!!

Hi Valeygirlvamp - to get started on the journey with Kaiser, your PCP has to refer you to the bariatrics department. Kaisers requrements are that you have a BMI of 40 or above. Be firm with your Doctor and tell him this is what you want and ask for the referral!

Hi KristyMadrid, I saw your introduction in our Kaiser Richmond social group. this is a great site! We have an ongoing thread - search Kaiser Richmond Pre Op. all the girls on there have a wealth of info. I haven't been banded yet but there are girls at all different levels of the journey and they are always eager to help & answer questions!! hope to see you there!!!!!!

See if you can get referred to the Kaiser Richmond for Orientation - They have them ALL THE TIME. You may get in faster than waiting for your Martinez class

15lbs - wooo hooo! that's excellent!! Glad you're feeling better. I've been soo soo busy the last couple of days, helping a friend move. My whole body is sore - ugh! It's 10:30 here and I just got home - I'm exhausted! I reached my goal weight though, weighed in yesterday with 1lb to spare so ow I'm just waiting on a surgery date!!

Hey John, be sure to keep us updated on your journey - You don't have to have a band to be a part of the support forum for Kaiser Richmond Pre Op. Stick with it, the ladies on that site are so motivating that I believe they will help you keep this weight off! congratulations on your 85lbs. Looking forward to seeing you on the forum.

Cammy, I read your heart feld story in your album and you're making me cry! I know exactly how you feel which is why I avoid pictures at all costs! You are on your way and 6 months from now you won't even know who this girl is in the picture. I would wish you luck but you won't need it!
