You know.... I never met the elephant in the room! I had no pressure or tightness in my chest at all after surgery - could it be because I had so little fluid put in at surgery - I have an appt with Doc Who tomorrow so we shall see if I get a fill. Happy Birthday Ash - hope it's a good one! -

Hey all - just touching base! I got that text from Tamra at 6:40 am about the power being out LOL she was NOT happy. So what's the word? - right now she's snuggling in my comfy green chair  $$$$ so that is my biggest issue right now too - it is what is keeping me awake at night (and raiding the kitchen at 3 a.m.!) But it is what it is - the way I see it we can only go up from here TAMRA HOW ARE YOU SISTER - I KNOW YOUR SURGERY GOT DELAYED JUST A TAD BUT YOU SHOULD BE UP & RUNNING SOON  -

Hey Ladies & John Talk about not sleeping - I'm EXHAUSTED - I finally napped yesterday for about 5 hours. This darn Cat has had me all wound up - I am damn near 3K deep for this gal! It cost 250.00 for lab work - UGH! Anyway - as of yesterday there is no more slobbing and she's pottying on a regular basis - she must be 100% cuz I have a few new holes in my hands. She HATES me - LOL - I'm the one that keeps forcing pills down her throat and taking her to see that awful man that keeps sticking her with needles - UGH! So, back to the not sleeping - that's me but I keep rading the fridge at like 3 am - WTF? Lee - no binder reviews for me either - just the test that you take out and hand to Liz. Tam - I was weighed in two gowns. So excited for you - what time do you need to be there? Heather - I am so friggin done with Brides/Weddings and all that jaz - However, we did pick out new dresses for the wedding so I can wear a bra now - whew! I just had to put my foot down cuz I can't be running around popping out the top of the dress! Pammie - so sorry I didn't make it this weekend - I was so looking forward to it but my kitty was just awful! She almost had to get an enima (haha). All this for that little ungreateful brat cat! Jes - sounds like the B-Day weekend was a success! Dizllizd - Welcome to our humble group! Tell us about your journey... John - hope you enjoy Cancun! -

Tam, I don't like the viactive ones - I get the ones from wallmart in a yellow resealable bag - suger free - I'll get back to you on the name of them. Im proud of you honey - I hate to drink so just to shut everybody up when I go out, I drink club soda in a wine glas and nobody gives me any flack. Of course I can't do that now cuz of carbonation but.... Today has been just awful BUT.... a good band day. There is some truth in the whole issue with the band not liking stress. My cat has been trippin the last few days - I had to take her to the vet today and, thanks to the internet, I was just expecting him to say he has to put her down  That didn't happen - he took blood and now she's real pissed at me - won't come out of the closet. She has been salavating and drooling real bad these last few days - wasn't eating and won't drink any water- I gave her wet food and she's been eating that like there's no tomorrow. She hasn't gone to the bathroom in 3 days! Naturally, her kidneys are failing, I'm just sayin.... The internet is a wealth of info LOL Vet said she has some lacerations in her mouth and it's probably just that... whew... but we will know more when the blood tests come back! I've been crying on & off all day - I know, I know - it's just a cat, right... WRONG - she's my beautiful baby! I just finished payin g off her 2300.00 surgery from when she got hit by the car and now this! Anyway - so I haven't been able to eat anything - my band just seems to be grippin me somethin awful. Doesn't hurt, except when I try to swollow anything other than liquid! I LOVE IT! -

Morning all - so my scale is moving so flippin slow but I have nobody to blame but myself - my eating is great until about 3am - I seem to wake up starving around that time so I eat and I haven't been exercising at all - it's so cold and I'm truly not a self motivator in that way so I just don't do it. My scale says 184.5 - so not even 2 lbs in the last two weeks - my bad! However, I'm greatful that it is down and not up! Ash - you gotta do what is best for you but I hope no outside influences "helped" you come to this decision. Congrats on your day care license - FYI: You don't need a commercial insurance policy for it - you can add the writer on to your homeowners insurance or renters insurance policy - will save you $$ that way. Just be sure to check for the maximum allowable covered children as some carriers havent increased the amount with the times. my sometimers is kickin in again - i wanted to say so much but I can't remember any of it now. Oh, Reggie - I have a dress fitting with bridezilla & the gang at 11 & then we have to have a "meeting" afterwords tomorrow so I have no idea if I will be alble to get there earlier enough - I'll call you -

Knock it off Tamra! You don't have enough time for last meals - if you don't make goal surgery morning you will be sent home bandless! You must do some aerobic workout tonight to work that off  Oh, but carbs sound so good - I've had NOTHING but protein for the last week or so and I miss my carbs - Oh but my faux baked beans helped - even though they were soybeans and a little stiffer than my hubby's baby whites (yes Jes - I made them again for him - his favs) it felt just like carb-comfort food! Speaking of carb-comfort food My cauliflower spanish rice is what i should bring to the potluck! that will fit in much better - I promise use fresh cauliflower & shrooms - no frozen or canned crap LOL I will also use regular tomato sauce cuz i like it better  I love that stuff but since it's not a protein I don't make it too often. -

Not enough resistance for him and my house is small ya'll - no more room cuz now he wants a bo-flex - UGH! Pilates Power Gym - the ultimate in home reformer pilates equipment So I'm gonna throw it on craigslist - hubby wants 200 for it but I'd let it go to one of ya'll for 150 -

Amen Sister - Tina I love your opinions! John - I'd be PO'd too! Oh, Tam - try to get online with Kaiser and schedule your PCP appt - you need to have one two weeks after surgery so that would be around the 3rd. Better to try to schedule it now so you don't get the ol" there's no appts available treatment! I think its real important so they can check your incisions for any signs of infections!! Hey Ash - why not have a garage sale and get rid of all the extra's that you're not using - also you can sell the higher end things on craigslist and/or ebay - I need to do that with all my husbands crap -

Liz is funny - I like her direct appraoch because she's never (that I've experienced) rude about it. And I've NEVER hear her bad mouth another patient! I don't understand the whole protein shake issue though - I haven't had one in a long time but sometimes if I oversleep or am running late - I feel it's better to grab one of my husbands shakes than to hit a drive thru. Otherwise I just don't eat at all and I was told to eat within an hour of waking up. The SF Bariatrics Dept allows them. I hope I get a fill next week - it was so easy to deal with the head hunger when I had the restriction right after surgery - even though my eyes saw things my mouth really wanted to eat, my tummy didn't want it and it overruled! Can't wait to Even my brother liked them and a small amout it filling. I will need to use a little less of the sauce as it would be a slider food if I use all the recipe calls for - much better to just use a little to coat the beans. Don't know how well they will go with the spanish theme that seems to be going on! Maybe I'll keep looking for a "faux refried beans" recipe LOL Can we get a head count so we know how much to bring - I dont want to overdo it but I also don't want to come up short -

Heather - good for you - wish I felt like "I got this" I'm not doing so well in witching hours LOL Tam - I got your pic comment - I'm so gonna tell my husband you called him that LOL He ain't really chocolate - his card was pulled when he starting walking our black labs with a starbucks in hand. He said he's suppose to be walking pits with a 40 in hand - LMAO -

Tam - now you KNOW you need to spill the beans - what did Liz say - I know she thinks none of us know what we're doing LOL how was your meeting with Robin? She help you? Ali - I chose the band because I know a few people that had the GB who have gained most of their weight back - I figured after the honeymoon period ends with the GB then you're on your own but with the band I can always get a fill. Also because I can always get an unfill if I get sick and need more nutrients - Just my theory -

Go Tamra - so excited for you - it was really hard not to tell everybody after you text this morning LOL - So stick with the diet - no cheats cuz you don't have enough time! Liz told me that they had turned a couple people away that were 1lb over on surgery day - that would totally suck big time - I would have been so mad if I were one of those peeps hahaha. Oh, and don't forget your milk of magnesia - you need to take it by 10:00 Tuesday morning! -

Riley - That is a great blog - thanks for sharing - it is really the truth. Reggie - I'd love to meet with you earlier - let me figure out if I can change a couple of things around and I'll let you know what's what! Jes - we went to a "holiday" party in the City put on by costco - Bridezilla's fiance' is the manager and put the whole thing together - since he had to "work" the party she had us come to keep her company. We got a free hotel room for the night too - lots-a-fun for us. The party was on the 9th and they had a huge buffet - I had some veggies & salmon - I scraped all the Pasta shells & sauce off of it as best I could. The also had a dessert buffet table with my favorite Tiramisu - But I used Heathers trick and called on my resistance muscle - it worked! I did have coffee though - you know the tiny little cups they give you - and it wasn't decaf. -

Wow - Ash - you may wish to call back and speak to somebody else - for real - I just paid my regular co-pay for my surgery but when I called the bus. off to find out how much it was they were telling me that I would pay my ER co pay so i don't think they really know what's up! good luck with all that. John - Im so glad u got your surgery date. sucks that u have to take that class but it will all be worth it in the end! I met a girl in safeway today and she was curious about my spaghetti squash - anyway - she just lost 80lbs in 5 months on Alli (sp?) I'm thinking about checking that out till I get some restriction going on LOL Maybe you could take it while you're on vacation - it suppose to suck up the fat that you eat so your body doesn't store it or something like that. First Pic in Oh10 -

I have decided to bring faux baked beans (made with black soybeans) Maybe we should all bring the recipes for the dishes we are making - that would make it fun - we would all leave with our own little cook books LOL Tina - I'd like a copy of your lentil loaf recipe -

Morning all - Yes, Donna, I will be there - can we get a list of what everybody is brining - I don't want to duplicate anybody. So I went do EDD this morning - they said "don't be late" so I was 15 min early and they were 10 min late! Anyway, it was silly. I literally was in the office for about 3 minutes. She looked at my Id and the papers I filled out with my "job search" efforts and said you're good. And I was the only one in business attire. All the other people who were summond in were wearing sweats and had their kids with them - even though the notice clearly said "no children". But my husband made a good point - they aren't working and can't afford a sitter LOL Tam - don't tripp - just please drink your water today, stay away from sodium & carbs - don't eat late night and don't eat or drink before you get there - be sure to shower first & make damn sure your hair is dry. I always weigh a pound or two less right after I shower. Mo - I believe Pammie said 5pm. Hope to see you there! I had measured myself so I will go hunt down the figures -

Pat - 14 days & a wake up - that's all it is! I love the prayer/poem you posted - I have the serenity prayer on my computer LOL Ash - Pammie has invited us all to her house for a pot luck - it's a few pages back - you must have missed it - you game? Hi Mo! Back on the wagon in the AM - K? Jes - Isn't that the best part - breathing! who woulda thought that would be so important hahahaha -

Tina & Pammie - I've been on wellbutrin for a year now and let me assure you - it has NOT helped me with any head hunger or weight loss - however I have Zero side effects and I no longer cry LOL. I take 2 x 100mg pills in the morning. They are the sustained release and before you all yell at me - Doc Who said There was no problem with me taking the SR version with the band. I switched to the regular ones after surgery and had to take 1 in the morning and 1 in the evening but I found that they didn't work so well - I was getting my headaches back more freequently and they they kind of keep you awake when you take it too late. So, I got the ok to go back on the SR version. The reason I started off with them is because my PCP said it had the least chance of weight gain as a side effect. All anti depressants are "blockers" so that is why they slow down the weight loss process - because the "block" the hormone that tells your brain to burn cals. I think with this one, though, it amps you up a bit in the beginnig so that you are in such a good mood that you don't eat as much - just my opinion but I'd LOVE to hear what Dr. Oz said about it. Got an appointment with unemployment tomorrow - UGH!
