Good morning all.. Nicole, good luck - why isn't car registered? Last thing you need is to get a ticket! Chris - nice that you're feeling better and amazed that you've only gained 2.5lbs - I can do that in a blink of an eye. Riley Jane - I am at a loss for words! I feel so bad for you & your son - I can't image how hard it is for you to watch your baby suffer. Sounds like he's a trooper though - I'm always in aw when i see someone go on with their life no matter how hard it is - no hindering going on in your household! I don't pray much but when I do, you will be in it! Jes, glad your scale is moving in the right direction - I had gained a half a pound last week and can't seem to get it off. Today, I'm starting back to my 4 mini meals a day that got me to surgery goal. It's the only way I lose. In the mornings I feel like I don't really want any food, like I'm already full but in the late afternoons & evenings I'm starving - I know I wasn't too hungry when I ate my 4 mini meals so that's where I'm at till 10/21 - when I see Doc Fisher. I picked my glue off a week ago! I was hoping to hook up in Vacaville this Saturday but i have to go to a bridal fitting - grrr! So some of you mentioned Friday- I'm always good on Fridays! Anybody down for the 9th?

Damn it Nicole - i sure do wish I had a room for you~! It is best that you leave though, given his temper and all that he has "read". I can help with a hotel for tonight if you need it - please let me know! Riley - whew! That is so scary. I know your son may not like this but what if on the nights he takes his ambien you have one of those baby monitors so you can hear the alarm? Ive heard of diabetic comas before - is he at risk for that??? I just don't know anything about diabetes - nobody in my circle of life has it - guess I'm fortunate that way - the things we take for granted!!! Pammie - you're so right - I needed to hear that! she does need to take responsibility for her own actions and I'm not doing her any good by bailing her out all the time - one day I'll be dead and gone and hopefully by that time she's learned to take care of herself!!!!

Oh, Jane - that is awful. How long does the battery in the pump usually last - is it like a cell phone where you have to charge it regularly or does it last a few months? Does he qualify for a night nurse? sincerely hope he feels better soon and praying for a cure or at least a better way! Donna - how are you? Hope to see you on here soon.

Hey all - had a great day today - egg salad for lunch and chicken & veggies (chinese restaurant) with no sauce for lunch/dinner - americano for dessert - walked, walked & walked in frisco - the love fest was going on so there were more half naked people then i cared to see all in their rainbow tutu's & things. I'm pooped so I'm gonna hit the shower & then the hay! Riley Jane - how is your son? Did you have to go to the ER? Poor guy - too bad they can't do a pancratic transplant or something to cure diabetes! I mean, we can do everything else, why not that??

Good morning peeps I got a busy day today - hangin with Bridezilla - first her daughters soccer game then off the china town. strange place to be looking for wedding shoes in my opinion but whatever makes her happy. We will be taking the ferry in and WALKING - I will be wearing my shape ups! Oh, she had decided on a venue so the wedding is 7/18/2010, I got 10 months to drop 40lbs. I hope I can do it. sounds easy but my body is so slow! maybe this prius needs a tune up or premium gas... something. Nicole - sorry if I upset you - it's my opinion and what the hell do I know! Tina is the one to listen to. Loves to you Regina! Pat, thanks for adding me - I love pictures  I will try to get there on Wednesday - don't see any reason why I can't - Jes, want to roll out? Analynn - I really do what to try that dance class with you. As soon as my six weeks are up and I'm alloud to exercise and things like that can I come with you? Also, I belong to the 24 here in the V so if you ever want company.... Tina - so happy there is some positive outlook with the new job. Hope it all works out and you can finally stop stressing. Jes, I think the walk we did was alot longer than the bridge but how much longer do you think? My butt is a little sore from it and those darn shoes. so upset with myself for having popcorn - heather, how do you resist the temptations - That is my one true weekness. MOVIE POPCORN! Hi, my name is candra and I'm an addict.... Will you be my sponcer LOL. I honestly think I need to just remove myself from the temptation. If my husband can't respect me and not buy the popcorn then I just can't go with him! I will make him chose - me or the popcorn! Pammie - does seeing the food specialist lady help you with these types of issues? I may need her number! Nicollie - are you just so excited or what! I still can't believe I actually did it but so happy i did. Oh, somebody was talking about the band failure rate.. My PCP said he has alot of people that have failed the band and that is because they don't follow thru - they go right back to eating the old way after they get the band and don't follow up with Richmond and their fills. They aren't realistic about how the band works and thinks it's just a cure all. That the band will do the work for them. I so don't want to let him down - he's so good to me and said that once I get to a BMI below 30 (170lbs) he will put the referral in for a breast reduction - woo hoo!! BUT... Said there is a 1 year waiting period. So, won't be in a cute bathingsuit this summer but NEXT SUMMER LOOK OUT

Nicole - you have the right to defend yourself!!!! I'm not saying you don't! what I'm saying is violence is never the key - an eye for an eye leaves everybody blind! If he is pointing at you and you don't like it walk away. If you are afraid of him and think that he will hit you - striking first is not the key - Leaving is. You have a child in your arms and the last thing you need to do is provoke a physical fight. However, I was not there and may not fully understand the situation. What Jes said is 100% correct - respect is the key. You two have to learn to TALK to each other in such a way that is not antaganistic, argumentative or placing blame. To love somebody is not wanting to hurt them, physically, emotionally or verbally. Maybe you need to revisit what actually started the argument. What was said and it's not to place blame but to learn from it.

Riley, you crack me up!! You all may not agree with me but I believe violence begets violence. If I hit (or kick) anybody I am prepared to get hit (or kicked) back. You have to give respect to get respect. You know the ol' saying "do unto others..." so my day started out so good then turned to crap. went to se "capitolism, a love story" My husband can't seem to NOT get popcorn so he gets the large, then says "hold this" and goes to the bathroom. Hasn't he learned yet that I can't be trusted with the popcorn! I ATE POPCORN! So basically I can expect to be a couple pounds heavier in the morning. I told him that I'm not going to the movies with him anymore for a while and I truely mean that! It gets worse.... So, last April my husband and I bought Jessica a 98 ford taurus - 1800.00. It lasted her bout 2 months. She didnt put air in the tire - it was real low and she had a blow out - went off the side of the road and cracked the frame. So I bought her a Geo Prism for 900.00 - she didn't put oil in it and froze the engine today. I feel the need to say that before the Taurus she had a 626 that she bought herself - and didn't put oil in it and froze the engine! At what point does it click in that you need to be responsible? Shes on her own - I'm not waisting anymore money on her - as it is, I pay Her rent & car insurance already (don't tell the hubby-he said she was on her own after the cadillac & taurus) - There is a reason I didn't have kids - I DON'T WANT THIS HEADACHE OR RESPONSIBILITY - UGH!!!!!!

Hey all, Still feeling blah, Pammie - not sure what the deal is - I kinda feel like I'm a band failure already - scale not moving an oz - hungry all night - eating !! I think I expected the not hungry feeling to last alot longer than 2 weeks. Today I had about 1 1/2c tuna salad total & 1/4c hummas - handfull of almonds - 1 gallon of crystal light - guzzling it though, just can't get it in if I sip it. My stomech is growling now. I do so much better with food when I have a cup of coffee in the morning but then I do horrible with water when i have coffee. I think doing better with food is more important than water for me right now so tomorrow I see my PCP & head to starbucks!! This sure does require alot of analyzing for me. Shoot - I can't remember the presidents - obama, bush, clinton, bush, reagan, (carter, ford, Nixon - my husband says) I can't remember my last three jobs let alone the last three presidents LOL. I think we measured the bridge at roughly 4000 steps. Heather I need to get on the exercise train too - just have no energy suddenly. I got in bed around 8:30 last night & slept all night. Analynn - don't tripp, the weight will come off if you stick to plan & stop licking shit LOL Atkins all the way. I lost weight eating burgers just like you had at Mimi's. K, I'm ready for bed. ttl John, where you been??

Analynn - you are killin me with the 82.7 pounds to go! You are not big enough to lose that much weight - what are you trying to accomplish here - cardboard status?

Maria - I use to get cramps so so so bad that I couldn't walk or stand up - then on top of that I would get a migraine that would last the entire time. Now I'm on the Depo - cured all that ailed me. Haha, I got an email for my girl that I haven't talked to in about 6 months - she said her daughter got sick with "ammonia" LOL. she's better now.

OMG - I am so blah today - I have zero energy. And I now understand what you all mean when you say you are tight in the morning but not in the evening. The last two mornings I got so full so quick but last night I was starving and could eat a whole cow! Trying to up my water and gonna try to get some exercise in today - I just am having such a hard time with that - NO ENERGY! Heather - can't wait to hear about your visit with Dr Schnurr - I want to know if she forgot where she was again - she had to ask me "where I was" LOL

Pammie - I agree with you about the sleep - I've been up since 4am with a headache - the headache is bad enough but the lack of sleep on top of it just drives me crazy - I'm pooped! ready to go home & take a nap!!

Yeah, Pat... I seem to have that affect on people LOL. I just get a little goofy when I'm happy - this board & you people make me giddy. Reggie - I swear she'd love that - she is fresh out of school - had a job in the pigglie wigglie or some place like that in Alabama - just decorating cakes but simple stuff like at safeway - other than that no experience - she could learn so much from you so if you ever need her let me know! You could teach her how to clean as you go for me too I swear, she's not a little girl anymore so why she expect me to still walk behind her with my sponge is beyond me hahaha Jes, glad you're getting full off of a 1/4 cup - I'm finding that about 1/3 cup is perfect for me. 1/4c makes me sad to look at but 1/2 cup has been making me way too full. So I fill up my little 1/2 containers but not all the way. I find it harder to get all my liquids in when I'm eating like this - was so much easier when I was just on liquids. Nicollie - This will all fly by for you. I remember when I was just starting out - I found this board right after I got my referral so I was on here way before I knew anything about the band - Thank Goodness! It takes alot of the anxiety away when you know what to expect. I think I would have chickened out if I didn't have these ladies. I am so happy that I did this. Oh, Heather - you will be happy to know that since I peeled all my glue off (couldn't take it anymore) and the scabs are mostly gone - my incisions are really tiny and just thin lines - even the port incision - longer but still just a thin line. Doc Fisher did well - I truly believe the 6th hole is for the vacuum to suck that gas out. Oh, and like Riley - I find the only time I stay satisfied and have no cravings is if I stick to proteins & fat. The only other thing I eat is green veggies. If I stray from that then I'm like ms packman - just gobble, gobble, gobble!

Maria - here are a couple other things she made for me when she was just learning - the box is 100% chocoloate - she made that and the chocolate bow - she made the chocolates inside and the little red kiss man is chocolate! the portrait was hand drawn in chocolate. She's very artistic

I am no pro! I was making the cakes for my friends engagement party simply because I'm the martron of honor and she asked me for help - she can't bake at all. It's my stepdaughter that is the pastry chef. I will ask her if she can think of anything - sure she can cuz she's extremely creative - Maybe to a 3d type cake iin the shape of a hill LOL. We'll work it out! Here's a picture of the centerpiece cake jessica and I did - I baked the cake and custard (champagne cake - yucky) and she did all the carving and decorating - don't know if you can tell from the pics put it's paisley shaped.

girl, I got em but havent used em yet. After surgery they say not to weigh but to measure - it's about portion sizes. I never used my baby spoons - you can have em - and I use my small 1/2c size gladwear to eat out of or a small salad plate that comes in all dish sets. Don't waist your money. I do have a scale that is digital that I got a walmart for $19.00 (i think) I don't use it much. Just make sure you have measuring cups & spoons and you'll be fine. the baby plates are for psycological reasons - so you feel like you have a "full" plate LOL. Like the siggy

Ooh - avacado --- good thinking Riley Jane! I love those things - like to fill the center with crab or shrimp salad!
  24. Desperate1

    Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

Annalynne - could you put your name in your siggy so I can spell it right for once hahaha Next time eat the toppings but not the crust! That's what I do when my brother makes Pizza - lessens the carb count. Also, they say when your body craves sweets it's really asking for protein... We are just too stupid to figure it out. Anyway - when I want chocolate I get a piece of sugar free dark chocolate and suck on it - usually helps with the cravings. I think they have those sugar free chocolate suckers at see's now. gotta be better for you then truffles. Jes, workin on my water intake.... It's so much easier to guzzle it - "sipping" takes forever.
