  1. I'm two weeks post op tomorrow and doing great. one problem, i'm in the most pain when i lay on my back. Anyone else had this issue. i can sleep on my side with no port pain, but as soon as i go to my back it seems like my port sticks out more and the pain is horrible. it hurts more than i ever hurt after surgery. like i said i have no pain when i'm up and moving or sitting but as soon as i lay down it is unbareable. i know your going to say so sleep on your side, but its hard for me to be on my right side contiually all night long. anyone else have this issue.

  2. i guess i should have given some more info, i'm 8 days post op and doing great. i knew not to chew that gum, i new it. if y'all would have seen me trying to hack it up before it got all the way down you would have peed your pants. please tell me i'm going to live and that its not going to stay in my stomach for 7 years like my 8 year old just told me.

  3. I'm in my 3rd month of my 6 month medically followed diet and i've started walking on my lunch hour to satisfy my life coach, dietician, and because its so gooooooood for me. I've found i have to stop after about 3 laps around the gym because i have to go the bathroom. Who would have thought. So try walking and definately a powder fiber supplement or a stool soffener(you cant get addicted to these). Good luck to you.

  4. sorry it took me so long, i've been away from the boards for a while. i'm being banded by dr. hammer in springfield. probably some time in october. i'm getting so excited.

85 pounds is great. hope i have that much success.

i just saw my dietictian yesterday. i really like her. i have a psych appt in a couple weeks and then i have a phys therapy appt the end of june. did you have to go through all these crazy pre op appts.

  5. Hi, i'm new to lapbandtalk but i am learing much more here than the other:tt2: talk groups i've been apart of. I should be banded in October. I have to go through 6 months of crap for my insurance.

i've had several meetings with my surgical team and nutricianist. They inform me the ultimate goal after banding is 3 meals a day, no Snacks. Is that realistic?? I see alot of bandsters are eating atleast 1 snack per day, some two. Thanks.
