A "normal" day for me at just over 8 months post-op 6:15am - Fried Egg on whole wheat toast (or scrambled eggs with no bread) 7-8:30am - 4 Cups of coffee 9:30 - Snack of some sort (cheese, granola bar) 20oz bottle of Water 11:30 - Left over dinners (meats only) or salad or Protein drink 2:00 - Snack (Protein Bar, or Cheese, or granola bar, or pretzles) 20oz bottle of water 20 oz bottle of water 6:30 - Usually about 4oz of meat like a burger with cheese and pickles only or ham and usually about 1/4-1/2 of veggies. Sometimes I do Pasta but thats about 1/4 Cup and I'm full! Either a soda (not everyday) or a small cup of milk or more water in the evening!

    You are not a B about this. Even though I do not feel the same as you there are parts that I can understand. I get SO Upset when everything revolves around food with my DH and it's so hard for me to remember that I have changed physically, mentally and emotionally about food, he hasn't! In my case I have been fighting resentment that he didn't go through with surgery and I did. I really thought that him seeing how AWESOME I'm doing would help but thus far it hasn't. Has your DH ever considered WLS?

    My husband LOVES my WL and it drives him crazy all the time because he finds me that much more sexy then before! Now me towards him is different. I married his as a "bigger" guy but not a BIG guy! He is 6'3" and weighed about 250 when we married and his lowest since then was 230 and that range I like him at, his biggest was 360 and he is still at about 330. I am not physcially attracted to him at this weight but I love him just the same as the day I married him because of WHO he is! I do want him to lose the weight because I am so concerned about his health. He was on his way to having the sleeve (in the hospital for surgery) and he decided not to do it. I still to this day don't fully understand his decision but it is his to make! I LOVE my sleeve and am SO happy I did it! He is working at losing weight through diet and soon to be exercise. He has severe injurys to his knees so he can't walk but super slow and surely can't run! The best exercise for him is swimming so we are going to figure out our schedules and get him to a pool NEXT week so he can start losing this weight!
  4. Ummmm can we change it a bit to fit ourselves?! LOL I don't eat fruit at all so there is NO WAY I could get those servings in! LOL

    There are a few that I would swear had surgery but some I'm not so sure! I really don't think that Weight Watchers would have let Jennifer be their spokesperson if she had surgery, that would "look bad" for them, like false advertising! Even if she wasn't being truthful about it I'm sure there would have been something in the contract and I would like to think that she wouldn't have signed it while lying! I don't think the beauty queen had it either but Jonah might have!!
  6. Me too! A good friend always cuts it in half and covers it in EVOO, Salt/Pepper and Parm cheese and then bakes it! It sounds good but I HATE other squash so I haven't made myself try it yet! LOL I too use Dreamfields and to me it tastes just like regular "full" pasta!!

    I am in Maryland (Pasadena/Ft. Meade)! I have had a horrible time finding any good local support groups but I am almost 8 months post and doing good with here and the FB group!!!

    See those packages were always off for me I guess I just have a "weird" shape on the bottom! LOL Before WLS it said I should have been a size 9 I think and the one time I actually bought that size, they fell right off me! LOL
  10. Like Tiffany said this can happen to ANYONE at any time. I experienced it A LOT years before surgery, especially after I had my gallbladder removed. I haven't experienced it much at all since surgery though which is Great! I wouldn't even say I get dumping from Ice Cream because it doesn't happen even in the same day that I eat it but the next day I will have "the runs" all day, same thing with buttercreme frosting!

    Panties

    As for sizes I say buy single panties (not packs) and buy in two different sizes until you find which one fits best. A lot of places are now into just S/M/L/XL sizes for panties but those packs that you might buy at Target still have number sizes. I still don't really have a clue what my number size is but can proudly say I can wear a M panty!!! Now for thongs, you will get used to them! I SWORE by the V-String back in the day (from Victoria Secrets) because it was the least amount of material in the back. I still perfer to find ones with a small amount of material but can wear just about any! I still have full butt coverage panties, hipsters, boy shorts, you name it I have it! I really depends on my outfit and my MOOD as to what I wear!

  16. I HATE feeling this way but it's hard not to Okay, so I looked at my loss and I have only lost 10 lbs in a FEW months! I knew the WL would slow down the closer I got to goal but it's hard to really "see" it! Don't get me wrong, I am HAPPY with me now, I really am! I am becoming more and more confident everyday and I LOVE the way my clothes fit now and the size of my clothes but it's still hard to not see the scale moving as quickly as it has before. I know my eating habits have changed once again and I am trying to get them back to where they once were. I don't know if I am actually starting to feel hunger again or if my mind is really playing some tricks on me but it seems to me that I am "hungry" more often then I used to be. I'm sure part of that might be the amount of sugar/carbs I have been eating over the last few months. I have also been having a lot of sodas! So, we are BROKE this pay period and there is NO soda in the house so I have no choice but to drink Water (and my morning coffee) and there is NO going out to eat so I'll be cooking good, low carb dinners! The other part that is worrying me is that I have got sick a few times over the last month I HATE HATE HATE to throw up and that was a BIG reason why I chose sleeve over lapband but surprisingly enough, throwing up is easier since the sleeve then it was before! LOL While traveling I had a milkshake and drank too much too fast and it came back up. The other day we went to see a movie and I took some beef Jerky with and my daughter had M&Ms. I stole a small handful of M&Ms and then had my beef jerky. Through the whole movie I knew if I went to the bathroom it would come up but I held off until the movie was over and sure enough when I went to the bathroom it did come back up I have been slacking on my meds so I have decided to try taking them in the morning instead of night and see if I can start to remember better. So I take them this morning and OMG did I feel SO SICK Never did "allow" myself to get sick but I felt HORRIBLE. I couldn't even make myself eat because I felt so sick. I guess I need to eat before taking them now even though it never used to be that way! Okay so here goes! It's a new month and dang it I want to lose these last 15lbs so I'm going back to basics! Protein PROTEIN PROTEIN!!! Also I MUST start tracking my foods again! Since I can't bring any type of electronic into work (no Ipod ) then I'm going to go back to using FitDay.com!

I know my body will lose the weight when it wants/needs to and I am happy with what I have lost thus far and how Great I am feeling!

    TOM during surgery???

    I too started the day before surgery. I was super nervous about it but it really wasn't too bad. I kept on these paper boxers with a pad until I was passed out! When I woke up they just had a big pad on the bed until I could get up and then I was able to put undies on and a big pad! Strange enough it was SUPER light and it's not usually like that! LOL
  20. My fav part of pizza (even before surgery) is the Pepperoni and Parm cheese so I will just put them on a cookie sheet under the broiler for a quick few mins and then eat them as a snack!!!

    WOOHOO!!! I too was FLOORED when I put on a size 10 and they actually fit! YAY Keep up the great work!!
  22. I can drink BEER too! LOL The only thing that is really off limits for me is Ice Cream for me! BUT I keep trying it over and over and it's always one or the other, either I throw up or it comes out the other end the next day! LOL
  23. UGH! I hate that I am so concerned about the scale and I am always telling myself to not be but alas I am and it moved in the WRONG direction I had a feeling I would be up since my period came AGAIN (seriously the second time this month) but I am now done with it and I stepped on the scale again today and I'm UP from yesterday by .2 I know I can go up and down and up and down all week long and that is why my OFFICIAL weigh in is only once a week but it's just hard! I know I MUST change my eating again because it's been really bad. I haven't been concerned with my Protein intake and I've been eating A LOT fo carbs. Yesterday and today I have made a Protein Shake but it's just awful anymore and it takes so much for me to choke them down now. I was so religious about them for so long that now I don't like them anymore! I'm still doing good with Water (holding steady where I've been the whole time) but I have started to let myself drink more soda and I need to get back away from that! I think when I get home I'll make a pitcher of tea and I'll only allow 1-2 sodas a week! (they are diet BTW) I just hate the feeling like I'm on a diet. This is something I have said since day one that I don't want to DIET ever again! I just want to eat healthy and FEEL healthy! AND I do Feel healthy, I feel GREAT but I am still so concerened with the number on the scale! I was to see that 150 so bad I could kill for it! Okay, really not but ya know! LOL Another issue I have been having is I am SO FREEZING!!! Doesn't matter where I am, I am just so freaking cold! I'm wearing a freaking SWEATER In JUNE amost July because I'm so cold in my office but yet everyone else is saying how its actually warm in here!!!

    Melting Pot

    DH and I just went for our 10 year anniversary and it was so AWESOME! It was my first time ever going and I was worried but it worked Great. We ordered 1 meal. Cheese course, salad for him and then the French Quarter dinner and the Smores Dessert! It was PLENTY of food for both of us and then some and he's a big eater! The staff never once questioned anything and it was all fantastic! I was 6 months post-op at that time!
