  1. BG,

HOpe things are OK with you, haven't seen you write, now the mother in me is coming out.....I get worried.....hope everything is alright.....Barbara

  2. BG, Haven't seen your blog in a few days. Hope everything is fine and you are just caught up in your everyday life and busyness ....I hope you got my last email, it took me a few days to discover it buried in others. Please let me know how you are doing, you should probably had your 3rd. fill. I will be anxious to hear how that went. BARBARA

  3. BG, Sorry I haven't respond. I just found your response. I wasn't looking in the correct area. But now that I found it, to answer your 1st. question, No I don't feel a lot of restriction. She wasn't going to fill me, not because of the BMI, but more that there is weight loss. So, I would be curious if your doctor leaves you at your currant fill level. As we both know the protocols for all this new lap band-world varies from state to state, doctor to doctor. After my last appt. my future ones will have a co-pay. (apparently my insurance covered all 3 fill visits as post-op) So, it will be interesting to see if I get more fills if I am paying. One last comment, I have noticed I can't eat large amounts of most foods but I ate a huge (I mean 3 servings in one sitting) of spaghetti and it sat fine......I find that strange, because there were meat sauce, not just noodles.

  4. BG,

thank you for the explanation of the initials...I thought I send you a note directly instead of posting it. First, I went in got my 3rd. fill I am filled at 5 and 1/2 CCs. I lost 4 lbs this month. They almost didn't fill me because they thought I was at a good place, but I convince them that I am not at my sweet spot. The PA said I am at BMI of 30, I need to go to the calculator and look myself. I know you said you are tall, like 5'8" or something like that. I am 5'3" so the BMI is relative to your weight and height correct? I weigh in at 173lbs. so, when I finish this note I am going to check the BMI cal. and see if she was correct. Seems a little high to me. Anyway, its all only numbers and I am feeling good with the weight loss. I am excited to see this months loss with the fill. I will keep you posted. My goal is to get my ample ass moving! Take care...Barbara

  5. Kathy, Congratulations! It only uphill or is it downhill? I always got that expression confused. I remember the first week was tough, I didn't really have any pain from the surgery, but I did experienced bad gas pain. If you haven't had any gas pains yet you are probably safe from getting them. I am 2 1/2 months out, the weight loss has been slower for me than BG. But, I also am not as self discipline as she. I need to get back to following the band "rules". She has been inspirational for me, I read her blog daily.

I do wish you a speedy recovery, let everyone help you, before you know it, you will be back to your self!!

  6. BG,

I didn't get a fill, I have to go over to the hospital and the radiologist does it on the 22nd. Hope your visit went as smoothly and your weight loss is great. Barbara
