I had my band fitted 21/04.2006, in first 2 years I lost only 84lb, it was then discovered under barium xray, I had been fitted with a faulty band in Belgium! The catheter was leaking portside. I went back and had this fixed in July 2008 and have now stuck at 140lb, i want to be 126lb. (it was fixed free of charge, I just had £1200 out of pocket expenses to find!)
Dr reckons I have a tight band now, but I am amazed by how much I can eat!!

Pbing is actually like spitting out chewed food! it gets stuck, but is not mixed with stomach acid, and there is no forceful evacuation of the food, it just kind of slips back up, usually following a lot of salivating!

I was banded 21April 2006! And even now 6 years later food is my wakening thought as it is my going to sleep thought!
I am 14 stone lighter, and many dress sizes smaller, yet I still have issues with my life revolving around food! What I can and can't eat, how much or little? Seems the mindset remains ! I have had many fills, and unfills, a pouch at one time and have been a tiny UK 6! Now a 10/12 from a 26 UK size. I am happy, yet still have size issues!
I put weight on, I loose it! Currently eating too much! When am I going to be content and happy??
My Husband told me he would rather put our $ into patio- Am I Selfish?

Your husband is selfish!!!!! So is your trainer!!! Invest in your health. I did it 6 years ago! Best thing I done getting banded. I also started off with loosing weight and Zumba! I am NOW a fitness instructor, and yes exercise is great and helps, but the band is the biggest winner for me, you will achieve great results with band and exercise. Self esteem grows as does confidence. SOD the patio. Good luck xx
