OMG Libra..my teeth hurt too!! I hadnt said anything and didtn see anything on the boards about it. Its like my back teeth. Nothing crazy but def feel a bit sore! Anyone else want to chime in? I do take my vitamins and am getting a lot of protien...

I got a card because my doc said if I am wanded at an airport it will go off. I travel frequently so I will be sure to keep it on me! Its also good in case I am rushed to the ER and they open me up and say "what the hell is that?!"

I saw my doc 6 days out and still had a couple steristrips on..he was like "oh, you can pull those off"...I have glue and steri-strips too and everything was cool.

I am so grateful you posted those! I just got banded but I carry most of my weight in my tummy..sooo...I know (well, I hope cause that means I lost the weight I wanted!!) that a TT will be in my future. PLEASE update us on how your healing and progress from your scars! Thanks!!

I was just banded by his father, Robert Pinnar on the 9th! He was great, just love him! Still recovering, but have lost 16 pounds in two weeks (one week pre-op liquid, then recovery)! The father/son practice is in Reston in the same building as Reston Hospital..think about it! Angie

I was given Lortab liquid, hydrocodone and oxycodone. The gas pains were so bad in my shoulder for a week I had to take something every two hours. They have since gotten better in the last couple days. I could shower right away too even though I had steristrips. He said they would come off when they wanted to. My scars look great. The large one for the port was a little larger then expected but it still is awesome. Good job guys!

After two weeks of them I have had enough. At first I liked the one I got, especially if I had time to put in a blender..now I cannot stand the smell of chocolate or even look at the container. Maybe after I have given it a rest I can go back to them, but for now I cant stand the thought of having another one! BLAH!

Thanks Wheeler..I went to the doc today for my post op and he really didnt have much to say. He just prescribed some more pain killers. I guess he is playing the waiting game like I am. We will see! As each day goes by I am hoping for some changes..

I am totally interested in this thread. I had surgery on Weds, so not even a week out, but the shoulder pain is UNBEARABLE! I am still on pain meds and litterally 2 hours on the dot after taking them the pain returns. Its unreal. I am seriously hoping it will get better, but hasnt eased up at all since last week. I thought I was losing my mind till I read this. The meds I take are only for the shoulder, not even for my inscions! The pain is sometimes in my chest and moves into my arm/shoulder like I am having a hear attack! So gald to read I am not crazy!!

Good luck to all of you being banded tomorrow and Weds! Its been 5 days and other then the gas issue in my shoulder, I'm pretty good to go. Still sore where he put the port, but nothing I cannot manage. Like I said the gas pain is unreal for me. Im going for my post op appt tomorrow afternoon, so I will ask him how much longer I should be feeling this much pain. At times I feel like I cant stand it. I have been eating tomato soup and even had a yogurt. After almost 2 weeks of liquid I felt like it was a feast! haha.... I am so impressed of how little bruising and how small my inscicons are! They should heal up great! Havent smoked in over a week, so hopefully I can kick the habit this time. I am sure it helped in my healing since it has been before my surgery. Good luck guys!!

Good Luck Glock! Well, today I had some cream of tomato soup. Its the first day I have really felt normal since weds..Still taking meds for shoulder pain, but thats about it! Hope everyone is recovering well!!

The shoulder pain is litterally making me ill. I am taking all my meds just trying to get rid of it!! Its also in my chest..never in a million years would I have thought that my should would be the only thing in pain really!!

yeah, not allowed to get into a tub for min of four weeks..wish I could! Walking around Sea World? Wow..I have a hard time ven getting off the couch! Awesome your doing so good! Its my left shoulder as well..isnt that odd its the same side for a lot of people?

They gave me two anti nausea actually. One was 423 bucks for 10 pills! I am not nauseas as I was this morning. Now just taking the oxycodone. Everything is much better. They gave me three pain killers, 2 anti nausea, ambien,and a heartburn med. 720 bucks worht of meds! Isnsane!

wow, well I actually feel worse today then yesterday. I woke up at 4am feeling sick and like there was a bowling ball in my chest. All the pain meds in an empty tummy are not helping. Trying to get down a protien shake but when feeling sick, its difficult. My large insicion is very sore and I need assistance even getting up. I def underestimated the pain I would be feeling for sure.

Well, all done! Went great except for waking up in the or barfing and the 720 bucks worth of persciptions! Feel pretty ok. The gas pain is unreal. Have had gas ex but it doesnt help because it isnt in my intestines yet. The pain relievers are great. Have had no problems drinking or having my protien shakes. In fact cant tell much difference! Thanks for all the thoughts!

Well off to the hospital!! Yikes! They are letting me take a xanex, so that will help with the nerves!! Holy shit, I never thought this day would come..a whole year of batteling with the insurance company..wow. Thanks for the prayers and wish's of luck, they are appreciated!! I know Pebbles and I will do great. I have lost 12 pounds since weds so thats a good start. Thanks!! Angie

Well, its tomorrow! Have been on liquids since last weds..wow, did that suck at first..Cathy, I only wish I could have cream of wheat..liquids is just that, liquids. I have had broth and protien shakes for a week. Lost about 10 pounds and have pretty much lost my appetite almost totally.

Food network? I cant even see a Dominos commercial without frothing at the mouth!!

Thanks! I actually havent been cooking for the crew here...I think for a week or so he can handle it. He has been great, even hiding the trash so I dont get sad smelling kfc buckets! haha...I did cook him Breakfast this morning, which was the first cooking I have done since going off food. It was a little tough. I was eyeing the eggs, even though I dont like eggs! Thanks for the support! Not being able to eat is horrible!~

I am on day 4 of pretty much Clear liquids before banding on Wednesday. I spend most of the day confused whether I want to throw up or eat everything in site. Its a confusing feeling not knowing if its hunger or just plain old sick to my stomach. I slacked on taking my Vitamins the last couple days and woke up this morning at 4am with charlie horses in my calf. Thats one way to remind myself to take them!! Having my morning coffee has seemed to be my only time that I dont feel like a deprived freak. At the lunch table at work, we all eat together and me and my broth next to burger and fries suprisingling wasnt as hard as I thought. I have lost 6 pounds in 4 days. Thanks for the thread!! I know it sucks, but misery always seeks company!! hehehe.....

I am a die hard Baltimore fan but the boyfriend I live with is a HUGE Steelers fan :faint: Got the NFL sunday ticket orderd and am ready to go! Now it just wont be so much snacking!! I have a living will and a regualr will all ready to go. It just makes me feel better knowing if something happens that my wish's are known. The Terry Schivo thing flipped me out. Day three of liquids and I think I would sell my soul for a bag of Doritos!!
