  1. Try this powder.html" rel="external nofollow">Stevia Protein Powder or NSI Natural whey Protein Complex with Xylitol, Stevia & Aminogen vanilla -- 5 lbs - vitacost or Optimum Nutrition Natural 100% whey Gold Standard vanilla -- 5.11 lbs - Vitacost (I've actually used this last one in chocolate, it's not too bad).

I can't tolerate Splenda, it gives me bad indigestion, among other things. I really like stevia, it's a natural sweetener. I will buy Kool-aid packets and use 2 teaspoons of stevia instead of 2 cups of sugar, you could also add plain, unsweetened Protein Powder to this.

  2. Tonight I made cheesy black bean burgers, had one, then got another on my plate. I was thinking....I am NOT going to finish this...so, I started to eat it and then I was done....no burp...just done. I had a HARD time throwing it away though. I kept looking at it and hoping I could eat it. It tasted so good, I didn't want to be done with it...I told DH...will you please throw this away for me....He said...NO PROBLEM...he knows I have a hard time throwing food away. We waste A LOT of food now that I am banded... I was the human garbage disposal in the house. If someone didn't eat everything on their plates, then I couldnt see throwing it away...I would have to down it myself...oh brother...no wonder....it feels so much better to not have that feeling of miserable all the time....

I know this is WAYYY off topic but.............YUM-O cheesy black bean burgers sound delish! Can you PLEEEASSSEEEE post the recipe? You can post it in the food section if you'd rather..............YUMMY!

  3. Thank you so much! I'm off to search for the thread on Lane Bryant That's the only store around here that's for larger women and they are too expensive and their clothes seem cheaply made to me, one of my biggest issues with them is that their shirts are really WIDE and really SHORT....which does me no good because I don't want my shirts to be like halter tops.

  4. I tried doing a search for "clothes" but couldn't find anything...so...I'm finding I'm going down in size, but still woman's size...22/24 and I need some advice on websites where I can find stylish, yet affordable clothing. I don't like to bargain shop, so I don't want to go to an expensive website and then have to sift through the clearance and maybe find the size I need...instead I'd prefer an affordable online store. If you have any suggestions I'd greatly appreciate them!!!

    Thanks so much!

    Meg:)

  5. Is there anyone out there that can describe how the body bugg program works? I saw on the website that it's $399 and you get 2 phone sessions with a coach and 3 months of online access. After those three months does the body bugg still work or do you have to have the online access and then how much is that per month?

    Thanks!!

  6. Dr. C~

Maybe you can clarify this for me. I have read it repeatedly on this forum that the saline can evaporate inside the tubing, band, etc.... and that is why, on occasion, the doc will not pull out all of the Fluid, or one may feel tight right after fill and then it goes away. Logically, I don't understand this....how, in a closed system, can the Water "evaporate"...where does it evaporate to? I look at my Water cooler system and I see condensation above the water line and I understand that...but the water doesn't evaporate away, it's still there.:( Sorry this isn't a complication...just a confusion, and I wanted to make sure you'd see it!

    Thanks,

  7. I didn't have a choice, I had to buy them...my daughter's in the Girl Scouts for the very first time this year. Her dues were $35...the troop she's in is more like "Troop Beverly Hills," for an overnight trip they went to the Biltmore House, keep in mind these girls are 6 years old and don't have a clue who the Vanderbilts are........she won't be with this troop next year if she's even in Girls Scouts again. I do think it's a great idea to give the Cookies away and will do just that!

  8. Well I told my doctor the truth and that I thought I could use a small fill and that I would rather be tight in the am and only be able to drink a shake and then eat "normal" bandster meals in the afternoon and evening. His response was, "Okay I'll put another cc in for you." I laughed and said I'd just like a 1/2 cc, he asked if I was sure and I said yes! So, we'll see how this fill goes! I haven't lost much and am looking forward to getting some good restriction!

Thanks for all of you suggestions!!!!

  9. This is going to sound like a dumb question, BUT....I'm scheduled for a fill on Monday and want some guidance as to what to say to the doctor. I have 1cc in a 4cc band and I have GREAT restriction in the AM, but by lunch time I could eat a horse. I think I need .25 or .50cc fill and I will be perfect. I'm just worried that he'll say that since I have some restriction in the AM he won't give me a fill.

For those of you that have been tighter in the AM but loose in afternoon/evening, what did you tell your doctor to get a fill, what was his/her response?

I don't want to lie to my doctor, I just want him to understand that I could really care less about eating in the AM, it's the afternoon and evening when I have my weakest moments (always has been), so I could drink shakes or eat oatmeal or something in the morning, just so I'm not able to gorge in the afternoon/evening.

    THANKS!;)

  10. This is the stuff that was at a Mad Science birthday party that my 6 year old daughter went to. It looks like packing material and they passed it around so people could taste it. I asked my daughter and she said it kind of tasted like paper. The scientist guy said it was safe to eat and was similar to what they make cheese puffs out of before adding all the flavoring and fat. Let me know how it really goes with the sauce, etc. All of the testimonials on the website are great, but it would be helpful to hear it from a "real" person!

  11. Hey! I had my surgery on 10/12 too!! My first fill was about 6 weeks ago and it was 2cc in a 4cc band. He said my stomach is small (of course, my stomach is small...BUT nothing else) and it may take more than others. I will be getting another fill again on Monday. I anticipate probably .5cc, I get restriction on dry food like DRY DRY meat and bread. Other than that I could eat a horse....right now the band is not helping to limit my intake (by sending those full signals) so I'm assuming it's still pretty open.

  12. I honestly have no idea, but just one thing hit me....and I could be WAYYYY off base here, so if I am feel free to laugh your a$$es off!!! :(

I'm thinking if you have plastic surgery, specifically a Tummy Tuck, after losing a large amount of weight, and then have the extra skin removed, wouldn't it be easier to hear the rumblings in your tummy/bowels? I mean, there's no longer a thick layer of fat...no more soundproofing..... I could be (and probably am) completely wrong, but just wanted to throw in my wacky theory.....
