  4. I'm three weeks out and I have to say that following the "rules" have been driving me batty. Mostly because everyone has different rules so... whose' right? how can every post-op be so different? I wanted this surgery for a better life to be able take weight off and keep it off (this is where I usually fail) ..not to live in a bubble. I have a 5 year old and want to enjoy life with him that will at some point include a Christmas cookie or an ice cream cone. My post-op has me starting puree's this week...i'm board of eating and find my self barely getting in 3/400 calories (i also hate Protein drinks) so for me i started soft foods - I very much enjoyed carrots this afternoon and an egg tonight. all i really wanted was a meatball (first thing I've craved!). I have a NUT appointment tomorrow and was going to tell her just this - I'm glad you posted this because many of us do feel this way. None of us got here because we are good with food and limits - i know chips and chocolate out but i can't wait for my first glass of wine to live this new life!

    Post Op Diet

It's amazing to me how different everyone's pre-op diets are. It really makes me wonder if anyone really knows when we should be doing what! I'm a revision and my dr. wants me on liquids for two weeks then full liquids for another two then moving to puree's/mushies etc... I am so sick of drinking I can't wait to eat yogurt or pudding. I don't want to get dehydrated but am already loosing interest in everything there is to drink. what is everyone on on liquids "eating"??

    Post Op Diet

I'm was allowed protein the day after surgery, I'm not a huge fan so it's not helping me much. I'm going to try some vanilla and/or honey greek yogurt it has protein and it might help me a bit more. I had jello for a month with the band three years ago so I'm not a huge fan of it, i've been eating it, mixing it with a dollop of fat free whipped cream (less than 5cal). I'll hold off till next week for soups and what not but i need something. I'm to tired to walk to cook to do anything right now. i'm NOT hungry at all or thirsty either.

    Graduated To Pureed Food!

I'm not supposed be on liquids until next tuesday but i've had it with broth/jello and crystal light. yesterday I got a smoothie from BK (mango) and it took me hours to finish 75% of it... not much protein but it sure made a difference. today i'm getting greek yogurt and some sf jello. my body needs fuel to function thats for sure.

    Anyone From New England?

I feel great, a little sore and tired. I'm a revision from Band to sleeve so i'm on two weeks of straight liquids and then another two on full liquids. I'm sick of drinking and can't wait to have yogurt or pudding. Not the biggest fan of Jello. Dr. Phol is not a big talker he's kind of straight to the point. I personally don't find him very friendly but he is highly recommended and I'm glad he did my surgery. I prefer dealing with is PA Jeremy he's awesome to talk to!! i'm here anytime you have questions I've done this WLS thing twice now!

  14. I was sleeved on the 11th. Day of surgery I was 282 (23lbs lost in preop) will weigh in tomorrow see if there are any changes. Almost no pain but very tired!! Also finding that warm goes down well as does ice cold. anything room temp is just making the cut. I'm taking a few more days out of work and going back on the 24th. I have to plan my day out and my protein drinks I can start full liquids on the 25th
  15. Hello everyone! I was sleeved on Tuesday the 11th and I'm doing well, drinking Protein and lots of liquids - still trying to space things out some. My question is is being this exhausted normal? I went to the store to day gone maybe an hour and I could barely open the car door when we got home. Yesterday it was the same. I had only planned on taking a week out of work and going back on Wednesday the 19th, I just don't see how that possible.
  16. Weight before surgery 282 Date of surgery 9/11/12 Current weight 282 Goal weight for competition 262 (not really sure what to choose here, I've just been sleeved) Weigh in every Sat (I weigh in on Tuesday's but will post it on Saturday
  17. Thank you all. I work in a hotel (front desk and sales) I had planned on half days this week but....my boss left and now thats not really an option. I'm calling my Dr. and having them keep me out a bit longer. My surgeon had wanted me out 4 weeks to start with and I said no. I don't want to use my vacation time, not sure if TDI will make me or if I can hold it.

    So Tired

Im right there with you. Also sleeved on the 11th. Finally feeling a little awake today. Sent from my SCH-I800 using VST
  20. Surgery was yesterday. Removed band and revised to gastric seeve. Had to do a hernia/hole repair on my diaphram/esoghus. Sore but no real pain. horriable backache. Drinking Water since yesterday hoping to move to Protein later today. Dr said 2 to 4 weeks liquids because of higher risk of leak but 4 weeks is out of danger zone. Ohh and minimal scar tissue after 3 years out. He was impressed. Nap time. Sent from my SCH-I800 using VST
