  1. Hey Marmar!!! congrats on your 30lbs!!! your doing great.. did you have surgery on the 1st of october?? ... I am also 2 months out now... i definitely am not able to eat a whole lot but i have been able to eat most all foods... I wish i had some advice as far as that goes... :( I have a pretty good Protein shake that i have every morning... its called ISOFLEX vanilla flavoured and its delicious .. it has 27g of Protein in one scoop and only 1g of carbs!!! I hope that everything straightens out for you!

I had my sleeve done on 09/24, I will try your Protein Shake, I hope I like it better than powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury. The only way I can drink Unjury is by mixing it in a Startbuck's Iced Mocha coffee, it works...

  2. I know of a family member who needs their esophagus stretched every so often and they have not had WLS surgery. Where they put a tube with a ballon down and inflate then deflate the balloon. They are good for awhile but she has had to have it redone a couple of times over the years.

Not sure if this is the same problem.

Does he/she get the same sensation when they try to eat something? how often do they need to get the stretching procedure done? did they start having this problem after have a surgery? (not necessarily a weight loss surgery)

  3. Hello all,

I am 9 weeks out and so far I lost 30 pounds and very happy about that. My only problem is that I do not eat more 3 or 4 bites of anything. I still can't eat meat or chicken (not even a hamburger). The only thing that is easier for me to eat is fish and I can't even eat more 3 ounces of that. Even Soup, I can only eat a small cup. I live on Protein Shakes (I hate them). I feel the restriction in my throat/esophogus, not in my stomach. Also, after the second or third bite, I produce some very uncomfortable mucus that makes me stop eating right away. I also have severe heartburn for which I take daily medication in addition to tums. I also have Constipation (I have a BM every 5-6 days) and I take medication for that too.

The doctor suggested a simple 5 minute laproscopic procedure in which they insert a tube or a balloon and take it out. This should help with the eating. I want to know if anyone of you has dealt with a similar problem or have had the procedure done. Thank you...

  4. I feel the same way you do. I've been sleeved for 3 weeks and I can hardly eat anything. One bite and I feel discomfort and fullness. I miss eating. The only thing I can really eat is cottage cheese or yogurt and not much of them either. The only thing that keeps me going is the Protein Drinks and I hate them, but this is the only way I am surviving. I tried eating fish or tuna but it was too hard. I guess I have to wait. Everyone says it gets better with time. I hope so...

  5. I weigh 185 pounds and have been yo-yo dieting for years and I am now contemplating on the possibility of the lap-band surgery. I only need to lose 40-45 pounds but I just can't seem to be able to do it on my own. I have been able to lose a lot of weight in the past but only to gain them back much faster in the end. Am I crazy to be thinking about surgery. Please advise!!!
