    why so slow

I'm having the same problem with getting stuck. I think it's because I don't chew well enough or I'm eating to fast but I get stuck at least once a day. And the chest pain is the worst it hurts so bad that I get afraid to eat again later. I started doing Weight Watchers and it seems to be working I've been losing 2 pounds a week. And I do walk everyday for at least 30 min to 1 hour. I try to get at least 10,000 steps on my peodometer so I stay active on a daily basis.

    face book bandits

    Hi mine is bayba8004@yahoo.com.
  4. That's how I want to be. Wow 2 yrs that is good, you look great. See the RN at my Drs office told me not to count calories or anything just follow the lapband rules and I'll be fine. But I haven't lost alot of weight since the surgery hopefully when I get a fill.

    Itching??

I had the same problem I had my surgery on 11/20/09 6 days before Thanksgiving and I was fine but on Thanksgiving day I was itching like crazy, and the next day it was worse and it got red and puffy around each incision site, so I took the tape off all of them and put hydrocortisone cream around them and that helped. Well turns out I had a allergic reaction to the tape that they used. it went away in a couple of days.
  6. I have been in this situation several times and I work in the mall so I have a small side of teriyaki chicken from panda express with the sauce on the side and it's about a 1/2 cup serving it keeps me full for about 5 hours and I don't even finish the whole thing. I try and stay away from rice, pasta and bread because I've found that the protein keeps me full and I don't have to eat as much since I don't have any restriction.

    Before Pic's

  8. I got banded on 11/20/09 and I've only lost 8 #'s post op but a total of 20 #'s since starting this whole process. I get my 1st fill on jan. 28 so next week. What type of food do you eat at your meals? Are you low carb?

  9. I process shipment at my job and I'm up and down a 8 foot ladder with boxes up to 25#'s. And I went back to work in 1 week but my doc said I couldn't lift anything heavier than 15#'s for at least 6 weeks. I told my boss that I can't be going up and down the ladder with heavy boxes for a couple of weeks. She was understanding and let me do a lighter workload.
  10. 4x4 moma & jeni I am there with you, I was banded on 11/20/09 and I've only lost about 4 pounds since, and my first fill is exactly 2 months and 8 days after 1/28/10. I'm not discouraged I just keep telling myself that I need to be patient. I've been walking and strength training. So it's going to happen, pretty soon we'll be down to our goal and feeling good.

    Valentine Day Challenge?

I would like a challenge to lose at least 10 pounds by valentines day. I have been stalled on weight lost, so I think 10 #s is reasonable. I'm in:thumbup:.
  14. Soexcited I was feeling very tired all the time also, and my friend who had gastric told me she felt the same after her surgery and found out she wasn't getting enough protein, so I took her advice and started sipping protien shakes mixed with water throughout the day and felt really good like the next day. My doctor said it is really important to try and get my 60 grms of protein a day.
  15. Hi Lisa we are almost the same. I had my surgery on Nov 20th and I weighed 227 and as of today I weigh 221 I'm pretty excited also! I'm on full liquids and have a whole lot of tummy rumbling. I don't take gas x though maybe I should. But we should keep in touch.
  16. Hi everyone I was banded yesterday 11/20 and I feel pretty good not in to much pain just my port site is very sore. I can hold down liquids pretty good, I'm on clear liquids for 48 hrs then full liquids for 2 weeks, then mushies for 2 weeks and finally soilds. I do have gas but it's just pressure from bloating I've been walking alot and that helps but I just took the gas x. Well good luck to all of you.
  17. Well I was banded yesterday! I got home today. I wasn't in alot of pain I didn't need pain meds until 3:00am last night because I kept tossing and turning in the hospital bed. The only pain I really had was at the port site. I have bloating from the gas but it's not painful hopefully it stays that way. Well good luck to all of you getting banded soon.
  18. My surgery is Nov. 20th and I am freaking out, for some reason I keep thinking that my liver didn't shrink enough I only lost 4 pounds on my pre op diet. I start my clear liquids on wed for 48 hours so hopefully I drop a couple more pounds.

  20. lilaz Congrats on your date! Are you nervous?? I'm a little nervous I'm going to be at the hospital by myself and that freaks me out my husband has to work half a day and my mom has to watch my kids so I've been biting my nails. But I'll be happy once it's over.
  21. I hate to say but I already cheated twice!! Yikes!! I had a tortilla both days once. because I was so hungry comming home from work and didn't have another shake so I ate meat in a tortilla. :tongue_smilie:I felt bad after, but I don't know I just got so darn hungry. I do just fine when I home all day with the kids.
  22. I also have to stay overnight I wish I didn't have to I have two boys 5 and 1 1/2 yrs and they can't see me at the hospital because of the whole H1N1 scare, their not allowed in the room before or after. My doctor makes all his patients stay 1 night (24 hrs).
