  1. Twilight, How tall are you? I'm 5'5 and 145 is my goal weight too. I was thinking to day, the last time I weighted 145 my 18 yr old daughter was a baby. Maybe as I get closer to my goal I will change my mind. Maybe 150? Who knows. I'm really going to try for 145. About 2-3 years ago, I got really close. About 160, and I was feeling pretty good.

I think only you can decide what your goal weight should be. Use the BMI as a guide.

  2. I must confess I decided to try this. I want to hurry up and reach my goal. The doctor I've seen prescribes the HCG and the "compounding" pharmacy puts it in a cream form. HCG soaks into the skin. Today is my first day on the low cal diet and I've had alot trouble being able to eat the food because of the band. I made tilapia at lunch and it was to dry (even though it was steamed) to eat. I started sliming. I made greenbeans and same thing. I also started spotting so I don't know if I'm tighter because of my period but, I'm worried I won't be able to complete the diet after investing so much money approx $1000. I really need support and if anyone has any suggestions that'd be wonderful. Please don't give me a hard time about doing this and the band. I really thought the diet would be ok because its very similar to the lapband diet 3.5 oz Protein, veggies...

  3. Another Body Bugg Question.... I walked on the treadmill at a low intensity for an hour. I did it first thing in the a.m., wore my bugg and immediately sync'd it after. It showed I burned 717 cals. How can this be right? My treadmill shows I burned about 330 cals and even the exercise calculator on bodymedia shows average cals burned on treadmill for an hour is 386. So, why is it so high? I wouldn't say the bugg overcalculates on a regular basis...my target is to burn 3000 cals per day and my average has been about 2000.

  4. Just keep doing what your doing. Smile and say it's between me and my doctor. I've always thought these type of comments are my down fall because they make me feel over confident, and relaxed and less strict with my eating. I start to believe them and they "get in my head", then I start gaining... and the cycle begins again ....

  5. I bought a pair of size 14 jeans a month or two after getting banded. I used to wear a size 18-20. I could hardly get them up much less button them when I bought them but, the wear 80% off and that's like a rule! : ) Anyways, they're to big now. What a great feeling!

  6. It's my understanding that the cream works the same as the injections. You put a little on your wrist everyday. It's just more convientent than the injections. I don't think it's supposed to "shrink" your skin.

  7. Thanks for your response. Yes, either the shots or I think they also have a cream now too. I don't know what if any complications it would have with the band either. I've heard the low calorie diet is very specific and there may be foods that may not be tolerated by the band. I was thinking about going to a consultation and checking it out. How much did your program cost? There a doctor in TX that charges $795 that's w/ a $200 discount. I'm not sure exactly what that includes, I'm sure blood work but, that seems really expensive. I've lost alot with the band, and I'm glad I got it but, it's been VERY slow and I'm just ready to get this over with!

  8. I'm trying to think of my last 30ish lbs as a sort of new begining. What better time than the new year! I'm trying to forget about the 50lbs I've already lost and focus only on the last 30+. I know these are going to be the hardest. I'm going to do whatever it takes to reach my goal. I've ordered the the body bugg and will start using that next week when I get it. I will change my exercise routine, change up my eating .... As far as indoor exercise, I love my treadmill. Some inexpensive alternatives are exercise DVDs, dumbbell weights, and mini trampoline.

We can do it! THIS IS OUR YEAR!!!!
