    TT scars what's typical

Hi, I'm 7 days out from my abdominoplasty (9lbs of skin removed) and I have a vertically incision. I had talked to my surgeon just before they took me in for my surgery and asked not to have staples put in. She agreed because of the tracks they leave. To my surprise I have all staples. I am very upset/disappointed. The surgeon said they had to use the staple because of time. I go tomorrow and have my staples removed. Has anyone else had all staples and had a good result with the scarring Angie

    JUNE 2009 Lap Band Surgery

Hi, June Journeys I am glad everyone is doing well. My life has changed so much since my surgery in June. Working out is now included in my daily routine. I love my new life as a LAP-BAND® person. I'm down 82lbs. I feel so much better and I am off all my meds. My goal is 100lbs lost by my 45th birthday in May.

    zumba?

I love Zumba! It's the only exercise I do right now. I started classes at 320lbs. Yes, its hard at first but, the class goes by so fast and then your done for the day. Don't get discouraged just because you don't know the dance moves. It will take awhile to get them. Everyone started off just like you, have fun and enjoy it. I take classes five days a week and I hate to miss. I can't wait to the next class. I have made a lot of new friends at the age of 44. We have gone out dancing at a club and to lunch. I wish you the best of luck. I say go for it. :w00t:

    Anyone looking to lose 300+?

Becky, My doctor wanted me not to get the lap band because, he said," I weigh too much and will never loose more than 100lbs with it". I told him it was the lap band or nothing!! He finally agreed and I was banded on June 1, 2009. My starting weight was 364lbs and today 340lbs. I am not going to give up!! I am so glad to see stories like yours and everyone else. I am so proud of you! Keep up the fantastic work!!

  22. Hi Monica, I'm 7 days out and I still have some pain. I am having trouble sleeping and being comfortable at night. I think it takes longer for some to work the gas out. I think it is normal.
  23. I got mine at my pre-op check up just before surgery. The nurse gave me a surgical information kit that is yellow. In it contained two books. One was A New Beginning and the other one Living Healthily Ever After. The card was in the back of one of the books. It was a post card to mail in to Allergan or sign up online. I hope this helps.
  24. I was banded on June 1st. I am still having a lot of pain and very sore. I have been sleeping in a chair and I need help standing up. I have had five other surgeries before and this is the worst so far. I am still taking my pain med every couples of hours.
