I was also banded 10-7-09 and am having the same issue. I can eat like i did pre-op! No restriction at all. I actually called the Dr's office today and was told at my 11-5 appointment I will get my first fill and will definetly feel the restriction. I've lost 19 lbs. so far but since starting eating solid food haven't lost any more :-(
I was banded Oct. 7, 09and I feel exactly the same way as you!! No energy, depressed the whole nine yards. I did the exact same thing, took a walk on the beach. But it is so hard, I wake up tired! I finally started eating solids, I had too. but I feel no restriction. I am calling the Dr tomorrow to see if this is normal. Try to keep me posted on your progress. Thanks
I was banded 10-7-09, and haven't had my first fill yet, I go next week. I am now eating solid food and I feel like I can eat everything and I am not getting satisfied. Is this normal until my first fill? I did get that pain you were saying, I think something got stuck it felt like a heart attack to me too actually like a gallbladder attack. I had mine removed last November.
Well i just got banded, Oct.7,2009. I felt the same way a few weeks before. I'll be honest, I am in pain but the Dr. also fixed a pretty significant hiatal hernia. I have lost 13 Lbs.,5 since the surgery-that is what is keeping me motivated, the liquid diet sucks! Good luck and don't worry, it will be worth it in the end.
My nutritionist said I can have muscle milk Lite- 20mg of protein in each, so I have 3-4 a day. I mix it with ice and throw it in a blender (magic bullet) and it actually tastes like a cholcolate milk shake. I was on Wednesday and am doing OK. Good luck
