I am 3 weeks out and feeling a little lost.

I haven't lost any weight in about 10 days but I am only eating fish and veggies for b-fast cottage cheese and fruit. The Dr. wanted me to stay on protein shakes for as long as possible but I felt like I was feeling weak from not having any food.

I think that I am feeling a little depressed too! I can sleep all the time. Today I went walking on the beach and I think that helped.

It has taken me a while to get my energy back. I thought that I would bounce right back after surgery and that did not happen!!

This week my goal is incorp. walking 2 miles a day.

That will be a good start. Do you feel any resistance when you eat? When did you have your first fill? I really think that exercise will help. I just had my surgery Thursday, Oct. 22. My doctor made me start a liquid diet 16 days before surgery and I lost 11 1/2 pounds. Now that I have had the surgery, I have lost 2 1/2 more pounds in 3 days. I think that protein, smaller meal sizes, and exercise is the key. Don't give up! We are all here to help each other!

I was banded Oct. 7, 09and I feel exactly the same way as you!! No energy, depressed the whole nine yards. I did the exact same thing, took a walk on the beach. But it is so hard, I wake up tired! I finally started eating solids, I had too. but I feel no restriction. I am calling the Dr tomorrow to see if this is normal. Try to keep me posted on your progress. Thanks

I have my first fill appointment on Nov 16.

I did walk on the boardwalk today for 1 hour and I found that really helped me! It took a lot to get myself there but I did it!! It was a beautiful day the water was calm and the sun was rising. I am going tomorrow after I drop the kids off at school in the a.m.

My goal this week is to go everyday. I am sure that it will help!

I do not feel restriction but I am very careful not to overeat or test the band. I chew everything 30 times.

Tonight at school a couple of my classmates noticed that I have lost weight so that inspired me.

How nice the compliments are when you feel like it is going so slow.

If you haven't had a fill yet, you wouldn't have much, if any resistance. My doctor told me that the first 6 weeks are for healing and no losing. Once you have the fill and restriction, the weight will start to come off! Has the walking helped?
