  1. Hey Guys! It has been one heck of a week. I did lose 3 lbs this week and I'm thrilled with that!! BUT... I also found out that I have Diverticulitis. It's a digestion disease, so needless to say, not eating anything solid definitely attributed to the 3 lb weight loss. I hope it's easier to lose the weight next week, but I'll take it as it comes!


  2. Wow, what memories this thread has brought back...

    I had the same thing happen when I went on spring break during college. Of course my sorority sisters were the perfect size 4, and then there I was. I can remember so many guys making horrible comments during that spring break trip that I just wanted to hide in my hotel room. There were a couple nights that I just stayed in the room and ordered pizza. Hmmm, interesting way to cope with the depression, isn't it? But now things are different.

    I realize that although those people that hurt our feeling may be skinny, they will never be nice. And in my opinion, being a nice, respectable person means a lot. So keep on smiling, and don't let those ppl bring you down!


  3. Hi everyone! I just need a little motivation today. I'm not feeling so great, and even feeling guilty :tongue_smilie: Last night, even though I knew I was on this Easter Challenge, I still let myself eat a chocolate bar! What is wrong with me??

    So has anyone else slipped on their healthy eating on the Easter Challenge, and overcome it? I'm starting back strong today! I'm not going to let one chocolate bar defeat me :cool2:

  4. Count me in the challenge! I am needing some motivation and this could be it!

    My personal goal is 25lbs. If I lose... No, I take that back, WHEN I lose 25lbs, I'll officially be in ONEDERLAND!

    So let me know what you guys are doing, and what you're successful with.

    My main focus over the 6 weeks is going to be my snacking. I snack way too much after I get off work in the evening. I'm eating way too many calories in front of the T.V. I hope this challenge gets me off the couch, on the treadmill, and choosing healthier foods. I'll check back in on Monday!

  5. Hey Guys! I'm back online now for the first time after my surgery. I was banded on April 22nd, and I'm doing good. I go for my 2-week followup this wednesday. So far I've lost 17lbs. I feel this is good, but is this average? And 10 lbs of that was pre-op. I'm hoping I'm doing good. I start my exercise routine this wednesday also. What kinds of exercise are you guys doing? Anything really making those pounds shed?! :tt2: Keep a girl informed.

  6. My date is also April 22nd! I go April 10th for my pre-op tests, and that is also when I begin my pre-op diet. I then have a follow-up with my Dr. on April 15th followed by surgery on the 22nd. I can't wait! My surgery is an outpatient, is that how your surgery is? I'm going to be traveling an hour to the dr. so I'm considering staying in a hotel that night. Any suggestions?

  7. Let's enjoy the ride together!

    I just got my surgery date today, and boy is it surreal. April 22nd is the big day. I've been working to get my insurance approval since April '08, and it's finally here, a year later! I'm so excited, nervous, anxious, and anything else that you can think of. But most of all, I'm ready to change my life for the better.

    We can and WILL do this! Goooo April Bandsters!
