  1. Hi Guys I am very very frustrated and I want to cry. I had my surgery on April 17 and I have only lost 30lbs since then. I have lost a total of 45lbs since pre surgery but I am sososososo frustrated. I have not lost a poun din two months and it seems everytime I am on this site everyone is losing crazy amounts except me. I even took up taek won do a month ago and have been going 3-4 times a week for an hour. I paid $16,000 only to fail again. I miss real food I feel like I have not had a good meal in months. I have 7 CC in a 10CC band and I am not sure how much more I need. Can someone help? Feeling like a failure right about now. Thanks for listening.
  2. Thanks ladies and contemplating we are almost exactly the same, my staring weight was 245 and I am 5'7 and would like to lose 100 pounds lets keep in touch. I guess in my heart of hearts I agree clower is better as itw ill stay off.
  3. Hi All Just wanted to know How much weight everyone has lost. I am down a total of 34lbs in which 20lbs were since surgery. I feel that this is very slow. Anyone else?
  4. I have always had this problem. I weigh at least twice a day. It keeps me on track for the day.
  5. I have been banded for less than 5 weeks and I had my first fill one week ago. I had 5 cc put in during surgery and I had .7 put in the band during the first fill. I am not sure if I am vomiting or Sliming but at every meal, I have a great deal of mucus bring my food up again and it looks like pure slime. I do not have the acid taste of throwing up but the food comes right back up again chewed. Someone help please!!! I have not lost any weight in over a month and I am not sure if I am actually vomiting at every meal and jeopardizing the band. Any advice would be appreciated.
  6. Hi Guys Thanks so much. No offence taken at all Jodi. Thanks for the support. Thanks for the words of encouragement 2livesmart. I am actually walking 7KM 4 times a week so I have definately begun exercising. Hopefully something will give. I need to really crack down on the rules and stop eating Snacks. If I calculate my daily calories I know I am less than 1000 so I am sure I will go down but it will be slow. Please keep in touch and add me as a friend. Take care!
  7. Hi All Thank you so much for the information. I am PBíng at almost every meal and it is definately not from over eating because it happens within the first two bites and then I just do not continue eating. Example 1 mini baby bel cheese and a slice of turkey and it all came back up. I think that I need to chew a little longer and not eat as fast. I am gettign there. Thank you so much Sandi1011 because it seems that we were banded around the same time so you can probably relate to me. Jodi what I am having is definately not head hunger, it is hunger pains, I just wanted to point out that I am probably having this because as I mentioned earlier I am a nursing mom. Either way I really appreciate the advice and I am pretty sure I do not need counselling I was just curious how others were feeling. Thanks
  8. I had my surgery more than one month ago and I have not lost any weight in the past three weeks. I went for my first fill last week and was told that I already had 5cc in a 10 cc band from surgery and so she added another .7cc. I think I can eat alot of food and I am really worried that my band will stretch. I experience PB alot so I am still adjusting to the eating thing. How much food is too much? I was able to eat two slices of pizza for dinner and I am worried. I feel like I am going to fail at this. I was never a huge eater. My problem was my sweet tooth. Does this band mean that I have to be on a low carb no fat diet for the rest of my life? I am definate;y eating alot less then I was pre surgery but I am so frustrated that I was able to lose alot more pre diet than post. I definately fo not feel like I have enough restriction even with 5.7cc. I do not feel that my appeitie is curbed at all. I am a nursing mother and I am wondering if that has anything to do with it. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
  9. I am almost one month post banding and this week I am PMS and I am constantly hungry. I am starting to revert to my old sweet tooth ways and I am terrified that I will gain weight. I have zero restriction and I am frustrated because I actually did much better in weight loss with the presurgery diet then I have after the band. Anyone else feeling this way?
  10. OMG!!! Thank you for posting this today. I too am getting my period today or tomorrow and I have had an unbelievable overwhelming feeling of hunger. I do not know when my first fill is but I need it soon!!

  12. Well I saw this post and I just had to reply I am exactly 9 days out and I can tell you that I was asking myself the same question the night before. I was worried something would happen to me and my children would be without a mother and for what? Well I got over it pretty quickly once I woke up and was OK. The first week was very challenging for me as I had the surgery on Friday and was back to work on Monday. Make sure that you have at least 3 days to receover. I think it would have made my recoevery alot better. I am still kind of struggling and I can already feel the hungry.
  13. Can't wait for entry #2
  14. I am getting banded on April 17 and very excited about it. I am nervous about what next but I guess time will tell
