  1. Hello all. I am due to be banded march 22, 2010. I am nervous, but also very excited. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 years now. I have pcos and have not been able to conceive. I was just wondering if anyone has pcos, and if they have gotten pregnant after banding, how long it took, and how much weight they had to lose before they got pregnant. Currently I weigh 310 lbs and I am 5'8

Hang in there! I too have PCOS and the reason I had the surgery was to lose enough weight to get prego. I have lost 60 lbs since last June and I am now 6 weeks prego. I am way excited. My DH and I went to a reproductive endocronologist who determined I was anovulator so with the help of provera and then followed with two treatments of clomid and FHS injectable I am 6 weeks preg. I am still in shock and can't believe it. Find out what your surgeons thoughts are on pregnancy. Mine told me to wait two years but also said that life happens (I didn't even wait a year after being banded). I am unclear if I should get unfilled and what I should be eating.

Good luck to you and it will happend when the time is right, keep your head up!

  2. Congrats to both of you. I found out about a week ago that I am going to have a band baby.

I am constantly hungry and have put on 4 pounds in a week, but I know I have not been making good food choices either. Plus I haven't gone to the gym due to being so tired. But I am trying to get back to my routine without over doing it.

OMG! I know exactly how you feel! I gained 1.5lbs last week. Not that I have been perfect since being banded last June (I've only lost 60lbs) but since I found out that I am BFNP (bare foot n prego) I want every sweet thing in site. I am not having much restriction either. I am WAY too tired to go back to the gym and my dr told me not to lift more than 10lbs so I feel like I can't do anything.

    Congrats on the band baby!

  3. Hi all,

My name is Bonnie and I was banded Monday, still at home recuperating. I am finding the not chewing (being on the liquid stage) the hardest so far. Jello is just not fun to chew! According to the scale I am down 11lbs since Sunday...although I don't really notice it right now. I am so bored right now...any suggestions on what one can do post op? What is couch to 3K? Also, where do I need to paste the code to my weightloss ticker in my profile? Can't seem to get it to work...thanks

    THanks,

    Bonnie
