    lol. my story is pretty much like most on the site. I've always been overweight and after graduating from college in december i basically set enough was enough so i started looking into lap band. I had my surgery 3/30/09 and i'm not looking back! I'm motivated and excited about getting to a normal weight and just feeling normal with my friends.

    thanks wendy! I was recently banded on 3/30/09 and i'm so excited i'm back in motion and doing really well. I lost 22lbs on my preop diet so i'm anxious to see how i'm going to lose with the help of the band. :)

    I understand what you mean, there's all this excitement yet you still have this nervous feeling. As a recent bander(banded 3/30/09) i can definitely say that i have no regrets i did the preop diet to the tee and dropped 23lbs before my surgery. The diet prepared me for my eating habits as of now. just take it from me the first week is the worst lol i don't think i will ever eat broth again but now i'm in soft foods yayyyy! good luck on your journey and keep in touch!
