One of my favorite foods on mushies was scrambled eggs - use 1 whole egg and 1 or 2 egg whites, one ounce of cheese, one slice turkey bacon. Chop up the bacon and cook it first then dump the egg and cheese in with bacon. After it's cooked, top with salsa. I crave this since I've been banded - hated eggs before then!

I tried to stick it out for the 3 weeks, but I had a couple of "weak" moments in there. I don't recommend it because it can cause your band to slip. I got very creative with the blender and turned most things into mushy food by blendering and adding some sort of sauce. Don't be surprised if you don't lose much weight this month (I think I lost 1 pound the first month). You wind up eating extra calories while you heal.
Did they say why they needed to do the open operation? Take care of yourself!

Are you taking your pain meds like the bottle says? I took them automatically every 4-6 hours and they kept the pain away for the most part which also put me to sleep a lot - sleep is good!!!
I'm good - my last fill helped me a lot. I think I'm really close to the green zone.

How are you feeling? Hopefully everything is going smoothly. When is your post op appt? I have an appt for a fill on Oct 27th.

Congrats on getting your approval! I hope your surgery goes well. Before long, we will have our own Fort H support group going!

Wow!!! You are doing terrific with the weight loss. I'm further out than you - 4 weeks, and I've lost 15 pounds. But I'm one of those that can't even tell a difference with the band. No full feeling, no restriction, nothing but willpower. I get my first fill on Thursday, so hopefully that will allow the band to assist my willpower!
