  1. My friend used that famous, "I never knew Jesus suffered so much for us" line and I replied, "With the biggest crucifix in the world around your neck, that is so big that you can see the spikes in Jesus, you know how much he suffered every time you comb your hair". He didn't talk to me for over a week and when he did he asked, "do you think this cross is over the top?" He had it specially made a fews years ago. It cost thousands of dollars and reminds me of something from an early Madonna video.
  2. Because you might have the intelligence and knowledge of history to see that he might mean "that by refusing to stand up for their rights in the first place, they lost the opportunity to stand up for their rights in the second place...and the third, etc...." doesn't mean that others will take it that way. He is catering to antisemetic hatred.
  3. I am glad that talking about that horrible incident relieved some pent up stress and maybe some anger too. Holding things like that in is not healthy. I am proud of you. :boy_hug:
  4. BJean, you were not raped, but you could have had him charged with quite a few lessor crimes that together would have got him a few months if not years in prison and would have cost him his job, his license and carreer.
  5. Ice Cream:hungry:
  6. They discovered RAT POISON in the tainted food. The poison is illegal in the USA. The company, Food Menu, recently started buying Wheat Gluten from China. The suspicion is that the RAT POISON was in the Wheat Gluten from China. Wheat Gluten from China is also used in foods for HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
  7. Speaking of these people who claim to speak to the dead, there is a new book out called "The Secret Life of Houdini" that claims that Houdini was exposing those same kind of frauds (of his time) and that they may have murdered him. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle author of the "Sherlock Holmes" series is also mentioned as a possible assassin of Houdini because Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was not the detective that his "Sherlock Holmes" character was and actually believed in these psychics and wanted to start a religion based on communing with the dead. There has been a request by the family of Houdini to exhume his body which was buried after his death without an autopsy being performed. The cause of death; being playfully punched causing Houdini's appendix to rupture, is now known to be far-fetched at best.
  8. If I wear falsies and eyeliner, can I go? I will not however, shave off my beard!!
  9. Let's Harass BubbleButt until tells us her most embarrassing moment or event. There are now 39 replies in her Your MOST embarrassing experience? Spill it people! thread and I think we should harass her until she spills it!! Come and join me. Harassment can be Fun.
  10. I spoke to my son and he agreed that his mother should not know about it until at least after she gets home. Tina would likely burst out crying and have no one, but her sleeping mother for support. He is undecided about holding it in until after her birthday. I could always wait until the day after her birthday and if she takes it too hard, I could say "APRIL FOOL". Her birthday is March 31st.
  11. What's your favorite "South Park" episode? If you do not know the name (I don't know the names of the episodes) describe it.
  12. That is almost as bad as the "South Park" episode in which Satan calls Saddam Hussein evil (or some similar term).
  13. Thanks for the financial info. Tina will not take it well. She has always been afraid that I will leave her by dying either from illness, doing dangerous work, being killed by criminals or being fat. One of the main reasons that I got my Lap Band was to show Tina that I was serious about being around for our 50th wedding anniversary (7-7-2017) which I have repeatedly promised that I be would be there for. Oh, she also worries that I will be killed by someone in an argument over politics. I sometimes make cracks to people when I see a "Support the Troops" bumper sticker. I ask, "So you want the Troops home too?" or when I see people with the optional Florida License Plate Logo, "Choose Life", I sometimes say, "So you are against the death penalty, want the Troops home and want to fund food stamps, Medicare and Medicaid. Right?" Life is short. You got to have fun.
  14. No!! Do not be sorry. Two heads are better than one. When I find out, I will post it here. I hope one of our nurse members reads this thread and has some first hand knowledge. I do not think we have any doctors here at LBT. My EENT told me that he knows something about it, but not enough to discuss it in depth, so he is sending the MRI CD and report to the neurologist's office for my appointment on Monday.
  15. Moderate Liberal Populist? And I am a tall short man. Moderate contradicts Liberal. OXYMORON ALERT
  16. Demyelination is the equivalent of the insulation on electrical wiring breaking down, except in this case it is the breaking down of the myelin layer or sheathing (covering) of the of the nerves. It would be like having hundred of wires running in a bundle and the insulation between the wires breaking down causing short circuits between the wires, but in this case the wires are in my brain.
  17. Thanks for the advice. I have a lot of soul searching to do and all the advice comes in handy. I have to babysit for Brooklyn this weekend, so I will not have time to worry about Mondays neurologist appointment. Some year: Three deaths in the family, Tina's mother's problems and now this. One of the symptoms of MS is depression. I wonder why?
  18. I did some research. The word was Demyelination.
  19. Now I have a big decision to make: In another thread (in the Raves and Rants section) I mentioned that I had not been around LBT for a few days because of medical tests regarding dizziness and loss of balance. I mentioned that I had to have an MRI of my brain after a CT-Scan, blood tests, hearing tests, inner ear tests, etc. did not get anywhere solving my problems. Today, I went to the doctor and got the results of the latest bloodworm and the Brain MRI. I was sure that they would not find anything in the Brain MRI, because my head is hollow, however they found something and stupid me did not have the doctor write it down so I could do some research. All I can remember is it is a long word beginning with "D" and it sounds like dementia with a “asy” at the end, whatever, but when I asked the doctor what it means he said it could be "Muscular Sclerosis". I told Tina that I would call her after I got out of the doctor's office, but when I did, I did not tell her about the possible MS situation. She has enough to worry about up there in Brooklyn regarding her mother, without me loading more things on to her. And besides, what can she do besides worry about it? My doctor's office called a neurologist's office for an appointment which usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to get, but the neurologist had just had a cancellation for next Monday morning, so here is my problem, if it is MS, do I hold off telling her until I pick her up on Tuesday from the airport or do I wait until after her Birthday?
