Hi Penny Any questions I can help with I will do. Flying was great, I do wish that I had booked an earler flight, our flight was not till 6.15 on Sunday nite. You have to be out of ur room 4 11.30, so it can be a long day if you have a evening flight. You can eat anything and drink beer, wine etc the day b4 the op. After that you cant eat, after your op, your can have sips of Water, the day after, the day you go bk to hotel the hossi give you Soup and rice bread with jam, b4 you leave. I would advise that you take, slimfast and cupasoups because once you have left the hossi you can start 2 drink. also we wish we had taken some Snacks 4 hubby casuse there is not alot near the hotel and hossi Hope the info helps xxx mandy:thumbup:

Hi Tanyac, You have made a life changing desistion, like the rest of us on the site. I was banded on Friday last week, with dr chris. I am still in a little pain, but I think that is because I have over done things. I am going to rest 2moz though. I have so pleased that I have had the op done. Dr chris, the hossi and the staff are so proffesional and helpfull. The best thing I have done. p.s if you want any advise dont not hesitate to pose any question on this site, everyone is great and helpfull Mandy xx

Thanks wishfull, yes it has come round quick, it is 9 weeks since I booked, I am both scared and excited. The pre op diet has been realy hard, we have been out 2day with some mates, I had chicken salad for dinner and soda water to drink all day. I have been realy good, I have had only 1 glass of wine and I hope this will not mess it up for me. Thanks for the advise, I will prob book my 1st fill with frederik. I have lost about half a stone since starting the diet, so i hope that it will carry on when I am banded. Will keep you posted. x

Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris

Hi everyone, hope all goes well for you all 2moz having your fills. :glare: I am feeling a bit pissed off, I went to docs last nite to let them know that I was having my op with Dr Chris in Belgium. I was told last year 3 times that my doc had wrote to NHS hossi's for me to have the op. I was still waiting rite up till yesterday for a reply from any of the hossi's. When I spoke to 1 of the docs last nite I was told that only 1 letter was ever sent whcih was Oct last year which was the 1st letter, No other doc from the surgery has sent any other letter to any hossi. Then I explained that I was going to see Dr Chris and he would be doing the op, He informed me that I should be supporting our docs over here and that my doc and the surgery would not be giving or helping me with any after care. He then did a print off of a doc who does the gastric band over here at Manchester and said give him a ring and ask him how much he would charge me for any after care. I was gutted, still not sure what I am going to do. I am going to try and have a think over the weekend and then sort something out. I am also thinking of making a complaint to our local PCT xx Soz to all of you for my moaning, if any of you have any advise please help lolxxxxxxxxxxxx
