  4. Hey everyone! just got back into town and seen the challenge Wynn has going. Sounds good to me, I did good today, no snacking. Hope everyone has a good day tomarrow!
  5. I dont know if i did this right, am i suppose to copy and paste into a new message and add my stats?? thanks
  6. Im just starting this challenge.. good luck!
  7. Yay Alleycia:thumbup: Good for you!! I have 4 more pounds to go, whoo hoo
  8. HI there, I was in the same boat as you. I was banded on 3/11/09. I lost 4 lbs on my pre op-- I was only on it for 5 days. I was losing steadily after surgery til i added the mushy. I actually gained 3lbs and just stayed there for 2 weeks! later I found out this to be the 'bansters hell,'But, I still stick to my 1/2c-3/4c of food, and it's frustrating, Im not going to say I'm not hungry, but i stuck to my guns. My dr hasnt played a big role in my visits either, he always seems in a hurry. But, the weight loss clinic I go to is wonderful, everyone is really nice and helpful. Do you go to support meetings? They helped me out a lot, especially when the scale wasnt moving. I wish you luck in your jouney.
  9. Well put sista! I totally agree with you when you said "your mindset has to change as well as your eating habits." That's what its all about--The band doesn't make us lose weight, it's there to assist us. I, too, only eat three meals a day with NO SNACKING what so ever, and that was my DR's orders! I hope I have the similar results as yourself. That kinda pissed me off to to think people would send you negative messages about your weight loss. Is that what we have to look forward to just because we lose fast or get to our goal? What kinda $%@# is that? We are all on here for the same things-encouragement, advice and support. Ok, I'm done venting,lol.. you look great, keep up the good work and you are the 'Queen of Fly'
  10. And that is why I am a vegetarian, you would be so surprised of all the junk, some I'm sure we aren't even aware of, that are fed to animals.:rolleyes2:
  11. Hey everyone! I was banded 3/11 and doing good. I have a fill in two weeks, but havent felt overly hungry, keeping the food at 3/4c. with no snacks. Go back to work today, that will be the real challenge for me, i have been out for a month....wish me luck
  12. Of course!! the haters are always the first to notice,LOL
  13. I think this will be kinda neat to hear about "first compliment" stories. My first compliment came from the maintenance man at the college I attend. I was getting on the elevator and he was on there already, and said to me, "Somebody is losing, you look really good, just don't lose too much." I just laughed it off and thought to myself-Wait til you see me in the fall!
  14. Finally! the scaled moved, i have been stalled out since eating the mushy!! Down a pound, 6 to go!
  15. The same thing happend to me when i started eating mushy food, i gained 2-3lbs and stayed there for almost 2 weeks. its normal. Ive finally started losing again, i guess the body has to adjust. Good luck!!
  16. Hey Diva.. why don't you try posting this under "Pre-Lapband" forum, you might get some more responses... I was told that some of the medication can irritate the new pouch, to try and take them prescribed in liquid form if possable. If not available, have to cut them up. good luck
  17. Whew, I did, good thing cause i lived on that stuff, it was unlimited to me. But.. now im Sick of it! hahaha.. Good luck!

  21. If your insurance covers it.. good, that gets the ball rolling!! I wish i did it sooner, I have been working for the same company for 4 years now. I love it, wounldnt change my mind for anything or anyone. Good luck with your Journey.
  22. I guess it depends on your insurance company and what they want. My insurance company covered my band, my letter, which i got from a GYN Dr., was probably 4 sentences long. Good Luck!
  23. Yeah Fish makes me gag too,,, uuhh, we are on page 783.. we still talking about Fish???
  24. I got protein shaked out from the pre op diet, so I drank Isopure clear drinks, a 20oz bottle gives you 40 grams of protein. Can get them at GNC. 5 bucks a bottle.
