Yoda's Jedi Journals (aka Yoda's Yammerin's)
Irishmist replied to Yoda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well your day was'nt a total waste Yoda, at least you got your snow tires. What is up with our husband's sometimes, mine called me at work today to see if i was going for weigh in tonight. "Yes" i said "why", "Oh i think i will go to bed before you get home" he said. "Why" i said "well if you have a gain, i am staying out off your way" he said. If i was at home i would kick his ass for him. LOL Cloe you are too funny, what is Yoda doing with that rubber ducky in the tub anyway :guess Maria:) -
Cloe i think you did the right thing with your daughter, tough love is hard, when my daughter's were teenager's i had a few problems with them, i just let them know i was there for them if they needed me, and that i would always love them no matter what. They both have turned out okay, things have a way of working themselves out in the end. Good luck in the elections. Maria:)

Yoda, I meant to say a 5 lb gain, i wish it had been a loss. Maria
-
Thank you Yoda. I am never comfortable talking about myself, i am one of these people who sits in the back of the room, so no one will notice me. I was coughing so much last week i was concerned i would do damage to my band, i had no voice, my husband enjoyed it though i could'nt nag at him LOL. You know i could gain 5 lbs. in a week before banding, but that was because i would eat a lot. It was such a shock to my system when that scale showed a 5 lb weight loss. Tomorrow is the day i weigh in, i hope the scale shows a loss, if not then it is time to go for another fill, i have only had the one since banding. Yes you are right Yoda slow but sure does wins the race, i was happy with a 1 to 2 lb. loss a week, but not to go backwards LOL, at least we have a way to get us back on track again. Thank god for fill adjustments. Maria
-
Thank you Green, Betty Davis was right, it is a good thing i am not a sissy, but this hip pain is really getting me down. getting in and out of the car is a killer, but i am not going to give in to it. You sound like my husband, he hates this time of year, he is already complaining that winter sucks. Maria:)
-
Thank you Cloe. And good luck to your husband tomorrow in the elections.:gluck: Maria:)

Anyone experience this on the pre-diet?
Irishmist replied to Doriana's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Happy Birthday Doriana, The bad taste in your mouth, that is your diet working. I was on the Optifast diet, but i was told that i would experience a bad taste in my mouth, it would just mean that the ketones were breaking down in my body, maybe that is what is also causing the feeling in the back of the throat. At least this part will soon be over. But yes call the clinic tomorrow and find out for sure, at least it will give you peace of mind. Maria -
Thank you Cloe, Wheezy, Neenagh. I am not very good at talking about myself, I am one of these people who pretends everything is going well, you know puts a brave face on, but inside i am hurting, or tell myself my problems are not worth talking about, so i just keep quiet. I thought getting this band and losing weight was going to help my back problems, but my back is worse now than it was before banding, actually it is more my hip than my back. I was diagnosed with osteo arthritis and that losing weight would help, but it is not helping so far. I hate getting older, turning sixty is for the birds, so much for the golding years.:cry and on top of that i gained weight last week, and i have no idea why, i was sick and had no appetite, so i was eating less than i normally do, i expected to lose more than the one to two lbs per week that i have been losing, instead i gained 5 lbs. 5 LBS, YOU CAN GUESS HOW THAT MADE ME FEEL.:angry Well Cloe i bet you are sorry you asked how i was. Maria

We all lost and that is all that matter's, so let us all give our selves a big round of applause, even Mandi who will be posting her weight loss tomorrow. Well done everyone.:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Maria:)
