Hi Honeybee.. I work for blue cross and they have included weight loss surgery in their benefits. So the first thing you will need to do is call your cs and find out whether or not weight loss surgery is a covered benefit. Although we both have blue cross, the employer decides on whether or not weight loss surgery is covered, not blue cross.. but if it is covered have them send you out info regarding requirements. Mine was fairly easy. i had a bmi of 45 w/o any comorbid conditions. Just start with your customer servce

Hey girl..I exercise between 3-4 days per week..no less than 3 days per week yet I still struggle..I dont know..I am so hopeful that this fill on friday will be "the one"!!!!

You are not the only one!! the gas was a beast!!! I didn't have any incision pain, mine was mostly gas pain. It does ease off after about the first week. The key is to walk,walk,walk!!! Good luck and keep me posted!!

Hi!!! I have been in fairburn for 2 years. Got my band in August and am searching for my restriction!! I have another fill planned for the 6th of November and am praying that this one is "the one". Let me know when you actually move to Fairburn and maybe we can meet for coffee or lunch!

Struggling a bit but still doing well..I had lost 33 pounds and gained back 4(had my cycle this week so i am hoping this is water weight)..other than that, I had a little restriction but nothing major. I am due for a fill on friday which will be my third fill..I am hopfeul that this one will do the trick!!! keep in touch with me!!

Hey Lady!! where are u?? how have you been doing? Had my first fill on last friday.. still struggling a bit..keep losing and gaining the same 3 pounds...well, i knew this would not happen over night but DANG i thought it would happen quicker!hahahaha..but anyway, 23 pounds down 65 more to go!!

Doing great!! How bout you? Today is my first day of soft foods!! I soooo enjoyed my egg this morning!!hahaha..i am down 18 pounds as of this morning..My appetite is coming back but nowhere near how much i could eat pre surgery. I am hungry about every 3-4 hours. I started back exercising on Saturday. My goal is another 2 pounds before i go to the dr on the 24th. How have you been???

I have my date!!! It's Aug 5th.....I am soo excited...that's my son's 14 bday so we will celebrate his birthday a day early..i'm sure he won't mind!!! hahahahaha

Finally got insurance approval!!! gonna call my drs office today and see about getting a date!! will keep u posted..

Hey Lady!!! Just wanted to give you a quick update. Got a call from the case manager at the surgeons office. She says they have all of my clearances and the surgeon will sign off on them and will submit to insurance hopefully within the next week. I will let you know when I get back that approval!! how are you doing?? any more weight loss??

Hi girl! I too am in the Atlanta area and am having the surgery. Who is doing your surgery. I will be having mine done by Titus Duncan at peachtree bariatrics. I turned in all of my clearnaces the first week of June and am waiting to hear back. Keep me posted and GOOD LUCK!!
