  1. I have become very aware of what I eat and what others eat now. It never occured to me before how unhealthy I was eating. And you are right, it is damn hard to get a lot of good healthy calories in. I do my best to eat clean, but dang its hard to get the calories, Protein and enough Water in during the day. I choose to keep my band tight so that makes it even harder. I am just now sitting down at 9pm for a meal and it is raw veggies. I have already had several Protein Shakes today. But this is the way I want my band although I am scared of malnutrition but I do have a series of Vitamins and supplements I take during the day. All that I do is for my goal of muscle building. I am hoping to one day in the next year or two be able to take the stage as a figure competitor.

  2. Good job for hitting the gym.

Please please PLEASE..do not neglect your legs. As a gym rat and huge weight lifting fan, there is nothing worse to me than men who have chicken legs. Your legs are the biggest muscle on your body, therefore are going to burn the most calories at rest. Make sure you are not doing all body parts each time. Split it up. I do back and biceps one day, then shoulders a different day, chest and triceps, and legs for another. So I am only working one muscle group a week.. You must give your muscles time to rest. Also, you are better off lifting BEFORE cardio.

Another suggestion....do more sets. You should be doing at least 3 sets. Only rest 30-60 seconds between sets.

  3. I dont know what to tell you because I have the same issue. My mil was flat out rude about it. Telling me how I was too thin and the way she seen me 4 months ago was just perfect. I just tell them I work my butt off to lose the weight and I'm healthy.

I mean seriously, they werent coming up to me telling me I was too fat.

  4. I agree, that first week was hard and I was worthless. Spent my day in our recliner asleep. Plus that first week I had to walk with a walker. The second week was a bit better, but still rough. I finally started feeling like myself between week 2 and 3.

Crazy how that skin really held me back. I am now more comfortable in my own skin and actually feel skinny.

  5. I did everything I could to try and help with the skin. I took all my Vitamins, worked out like crazy which included cardio and weights. In the end, the tummy just wasnt bouncing back. Granted I have 3 kids all a c-section too. So that didnt help. But I just had a Tummy Tuck a little over a month ago and I am super happy I did. It is nice to be rid of the excess skin.

  6. I am one of those who doesnt measure food, I dont count calories, but I do watch what I eat and work out 4/5 days a week. I dont want to feel like I am a slave to food or what I'm eating.

I am one of those whose band is on the tight side, but I am planning on having a bit removed as I am working on building muscle and can not do that without the proper calories.
