    chicken delicious

    Hey guys, I found a couple chicken receipes that sound really good. Haven't tried them yet, but will. CHRISPY ONION CHICKEN BREAST TENDERS Prep Time: 10 min Cook Time: 15 min 1lb boneless skinless chicken cut into 1 in strips 3 to 4 tbsp honey mustard 11/3 cups french fried onions, crushed 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Coat chicken with mustard. Dip into crushed onions. Place chicken on baking sheet. 2. Bake for 15 min or until chicken is cooked and crispy ORANGE CHICKEN PICCATA Prep time: 5min Cook time: 10min 1lb bonless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin 2 tbsp flour 1/2 c orange juice 1/4 c honey or dijon mustard 1/4 c orange marmalade 1/4 tsp rosemary leaves, crushed 1 orange, thinly sliced and quartered 1. Coat chicken with flour. Heat 1 tbsp oil in nonstick skillet. Cook chicken for 5 min until browned 2. Mix juice, mustard, marmalade and rosemary. Stir into skillet; boil 5 min until chicken is cooked through and sauce thickens 3. Stir in orange pieces. Serve with rice

    opinions on suggested diet

    Havn't you seen all the Atkins Labled products flooding the market with carbs?!?! Where have you been? Atkins revised his diet several years ago and added carbs. Mostly fresh fruit and vegetables but also Whole Wheat carb products like bread, ceral, almost anything you can think of. They(Atkins) simply advise that you concentrate mostly on protein. Get the new books or watch the video. I known theres been a lot of confusion so I hope this helps. I also known that when he died they found that he did have high cholesterol but remember sometimes it's inherited and theres not much your diet will do for that. I used a protein/carb diet years ago which was a little twist. It was 4oz protein and fruit for breakfast. 4oz protein with a salad for lunch. 4oz pro and 1/2c higher sugar veggies and a salad for dinner. You only used dressings that the sugar was 5 or lower on the ingredients list. Same with your mayonaise etc. Once past the 1st month I going to try this again with small veggie portions. It's the 1st month that scares me. By the way lots of good receipes on the threads. I've just taken the tortillas out and made them into more of a casserole. Here's to success!

    WOW!!!! Thanx for sharing. What a wonderful story of dedication. You sound like you're balanced in your goals. I band on the 15th. What are you eating/drinking. I pre-op on the 6th and until then all I know about the first month is what I reading with the threads. I want to lose, lose, lose.

    question re: the pre op fast

    You fast when you haven't lost the amount the Drs. want b/4 surgery. I was told the way to choose your protein drink is 100cal. equals 10grms protein, period. Try not to stress. Whens your surgery?

    :clap2: Understandable to be nervous. But I bet you're also anxious to have it done so you have this tool to help you finally get the weight off and hopefully staying off. I band in 14 days and I too am nervous but I have a big support group of friends and family. I hope you do too. We'll all be here for you weighting to hear how good you did.     hello-I've been reading some of your comments as a visitor the last couple of weeks trying to decide if I wanted to join. I'm very computor ignorant and half the questions they asked I didn't understand, but I've made it this far.:phanvan I'm having surgery in 16days. I'm nervous but committed. I've been copying receipes on this site. Thanks for posting them. :nervous
