well, 10 pounds in 2 weeks is good. and so is 7 pounds in one week!!!

well, i haven't even been banded yet and i have weight loss goals in mind! is that crazy? i will be banded on june 30th and my first goal is to be down by 12 pounds by july 30th!

does everyone usually lose weight immediately post op during the liquid phase of recovery?

thanks for the post. since i last posted, i have spoken to some patients that had their procedures done there and they were very pleased and had good things to say. i have also dealt extensively with the clinic. tons of questions and they seem very accomodating and have provided answers to my concerns. i will let you all know how it goes for me.

what is band erosion again? what makes that happen? and how are you doing now that the band has been removed? do you still eat smaller portions of food? will you get rebanded or try another wls?

well, congrats on the baby and the band weight loss! does your obgyn know alot about the band to offer instruction or do you primarily see your surgeon and the nutritionalist? are you still on liquids?

that is a good question because i have read here that there are some people that have experienced restriction with just the band alone. (that doesn't seem to be the story for alot of people, but some)

the way you all are describing this PB is really scaring me! how will i know that is what it is and not a heart attack or something like that?

penni, why was your band removed? would you still recommend others to get it?

how long should you wait after you are banded before you try that?

and do you have to get completely unfilled?

i saw someone else post about drinking low calorie Protein Drinks. is that something that we bandsters should have? i know 3 folks that had the gastric bypass. and they are supposed to drink this whey Protein Shake everyday to help with Protein intake. does that apply to us as well?

i'll take your word at it. you seem to be doing really well with this. i like to learn from those that have already journeyed the path.

and that would add too many calories to the diet? okay.

does anyone every add thick-it to liquids to make them have more of a texture so that they will be more like solids? you know, like the consistency of applesauce?

so, the key is to stay away from dry foods, right?

what about Pasta? can you all eat that if chewed really well?

how do you get the ticker to show up at the bottom. do you add it as part of your signature? i am clueless! and i have a wedding to plan. i am getting married on sept. 2 so i have tons that i am busy with, but this surgery also rushes to the forefront of my thoughts.

ok everyone. i have my date. i have my financing coverd. got the fiance on board. my date is june 29th. it seems like an eternity from now. i want to start a countdown, but i think i drive myself crazy. i want to go ahead and get this over with so i can start my process. what will i do with myself until then? i have started to try out parts of the "lifestyle changes" that i will have to make. like chewing my food at least 15 times before i swallow and not having Water with my meals. cutting out the sweets and just make better food choices. what more should i do?

does it help to drink something when a slime occurs?

what is the difference between pb (burping up a portion of one's food) and all out vomitting?

i was told when i get my band that it is okay to partially fill it. the literature that i have read said that when you put it on it stays unfilled or can be partially filled. i am supposed to partially get mine filled to 3 ccs. will this be too tight?

are you supposed to be hungry during the first few weeks after surgery?
