I am looking for someone who has been banded for several years maybe 3 to 5 and someone who has reach there goal weight. I would like toknow how they are doing. I was banded on May 19th and have lost 45 pounds and just turn 50. Thanks for you help.

I guess I am just a big baby. DO not think I could walk around witha needle sticking out of me. But it is better than having to have it done twice. I will just have to tuffen up.

What is "Under Floro? Is it something for the pain? Everyone told me that its no big deal, no pain, well call me a baby but mine hurt. He had to go deep to find it. Did the doc. do your fill or his asst. What is her name? I can not pronounce it.

I wish I had picked another Doc. I had my band by Doc. Speigel and the only reason I picked him is because he would do it with me only needing to lose 55lbs. No other doc. would touch me. Ofcourse I had to self-pay. Doc. Speigel is a Very good Doc. BUT he does not have the time of day for you. He runs you in and out like cattle. If you have anything to say or ask you will have to talk to one of the girls, Well, I did not pay the girls 15,000.00. Now he has his asst. mis-spilled do all of his fills which is fine BUT I was understanding if you have her do the fills you could get in to get you fill just about any time and day. WRONG. I first fill was nothing. I could not eveb tell if he had done anything. Now trying to get back in to get another fill which I have to drive a good 30 miles one way they tell me it will be in TWO weeks. I am very upset. I only hope I don`t gain any weight before than. I would love to go to another Doc. for my fill but being self-pay the first years fill are free. But it better be better than the first one. Thanks for hearing me fuss.

I to have been rideing from the age of 15 and wil be 50 in a few weeks. I have and love my honda shadow 750. I am 5 3 and do not have a hard time touching the ground. It sits real low to the groung. My husband has a gold wing.We are members of gwrra. I is a good ideal to take the rideing courses. It will teach you things you didn`t know you didn`t know. Good luck on you chose. I have 5 hearts inside my ankle. I have 5 grandbabies. 4 girls which is pink hearts and one boy which is a blue hearts. The pink hearts are around the blue one. I told my girls I was putting a heart for everyone of my babies. The babies love looking at them and picking out there hearts. My oldest is girl 4, boy 3, girl 6mon. and girl 5mon. Yes the babies are 3 weeks apart. One from each of my girls.

I am not real smart when it comes to my pc. Can someone tell me step by step how to put the scales at the bottom of my message. I just love them and would love to see it for myself. I know what you mean. I told my girls ( 25 & 28 ) only after my surgery only bc it was m grandson b-day party that I had had herina surgery. I had to tell them something as to why I could not pick up my babys. There are 4 of them. 4 & 3 years, and 5 & 6 mon. They were very upset that I had not told them I had any surgery. I was not thinking about his b-day being 2 days after my surgery. We are going out to eat for the first time with my brother & his wife. I am worry about being able to eat. Wecome to the liers thread. That is just what I told my family. Soooooo what kind of hernia did you have. Youdo know after surgery youare not supose to eat much.ha-ha.

:hungry: I have not told anyone but of course my husband, not even my2 girls who we are very close. We have had my grandson b-day party and nocake for me. It was had not to tell them why I am not eating cake. They are boththin and with me only needing to lose 50 lbs. I did not want them to give me a hard time about it. My baby girl and her family are coming to stay the weekend with us. Not sure how I am going to pull it off bc I am only on my3 week post op. Wish me luck.

I used Doc. Sp and was band on May 19 starting my 3 week. lost 13 lbs. feeling great.

I am hearing a lot of things about Dr. Spiegel and he did my band. I am self pay. He was o.k. the only thng is I would have liked for he to spend a little more time talking to me. I have to admit the main reason I went to him is because I wanted the surgery so bad and I thought he would do it. I went in weighting 190 and goal is 115-120. I did not think that the other Doctors would do it. I know that sounds dumb but youdo not understand how I wanted this done. I would like to get up one day and not be the first thing I think of is what am I going to eat. Iuse to lived to eat and now I am learning to eat to live. I was band on May 19th. I have to make myself eat. Dr. Spiegel may not be the best Doc but he knows what he is doing. He is out there to make money. And don`t think the others are not there doing the same thing. What was it that you did eat. I want meat but I will be scared to put anything into my mouth. What would be good to start on? I am worryed that I not getting enought proteins.

Can anyone tell me if there is a support group in the Humble area? If not we should start one.

Thanks everyone. It nice to have you guys there for me. I didn`t tell anyone but my husband about my band. I have 50 lbs. to lose. I did not want ANTONE giving me a hard time. To tell you how bad I wanted this, I had to pay out in cash. I told my husband Mike just think of it as buying my a new bike.
