    My 2 year Bandiversary

you are true inspiration! thanks for sharing your success!
  5. sounds like you are on the right path!! people here are very helpful and supportive!!
  6. Paige, i know its hard but you can do this!!!! the people that have posted before me are right. Just start of small and it will lead to great things. If you walk 20 steps and get winded, then take a break and go back at it when you are up to it. If you have pain meds take them before you exercise. If you are a soda drinker replace it with Water or diet soda. that alone can help tremendously. Start with small changes. when you see the difference the small things make it can make you want to go on to bigger changes. You can do this. The people here are tremendously supportive. We're here for you!!! And please dont consider yourself friendless anymore!! Myself and countless others on this site will happily be there for you.

    NSV's (NonScale Victories)

being able to shop in any store that i want! no more plus sizes for me!!
  15. nothing makes a girl look or feel better than a sexy black dress. and you are looking amazing!
  16. Im addicted to skinny stores as well. I now shop at the same stores as my 16yr old daughter. Charlotte russe is my favorite . I'm proud to report there isn't one lane Bryant tag left in my closet. My boyfriends in the millitary. we only see each other every month or so. So I send him pics almost everyday. He always jokes that I lose so fast he gets a new girlfriend every month. He's amazing. He told me he likes me skinny but I was every bit as beautiful to him when I was heavy. But he's in always been in great shape so it's hard for him to understand how unhappy I was when I was fat. It's something you can't fully understand unless you've been there. But he sure loves my sexy new wardrobe.
  17. Dont beat yourself up. None of us are perfect and we've all done similar things. Now that you've eaten them just be done with it. And don't feel guilty. That will just set you up to eat worse tomorrow. This journey isn't always easy but it is so worth it!!
  18. I think this has happened for me as well . I used to not be able to walk past food without eating. Now I could care less. But let me see a cute sundress and I can barely contain myself. Not to mention all the time I can now spend trying on clothes and looking in the mirror. My size 12s are actually getting baggy. I used to spend hours trying to find clothes to hide my body. Now I can't believe how great things look on me. I can't imagine how bad it's gonna be once I get to an 8 like you. The other thing I seem to do is weigh myself all the time. I have to say I still get a rush everytime I see the numbers go down. That and I take tons of pics right now. Sometimes I can't believe the difference in the before and after pics. So yes i've definitely transferred addictions, who needs food when there's shopping to be done?

Drank way too much alcohol.. HELP!

Calm down. Unless you drank so much that you puked for hours you probably have very little chance of hurting your band. I drink socially and I've never had any problems at all. So do several other members on this site. I went out for my birthday last weekend. And somehow I'm betting I drank a whole lot more than you did. Lol

    Here goes nothing...

when you talk to your doc, you just need to make sure that you go into detail and have documented any health problems you are having. especially anything such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. make sure you ask to have blood work drawn. and as far as the surgery just tell him about the struggles you've had losing. any diet or exercise plans that you've tried and that didnt work for you. tell him you've been doing ressearch on WLS and what his suggestions are. i was lucky that my doctor really made things easy for me. and restless is right that you dont necssarily need a referral or permission from your family doctor to have the surgery. but what you are more than likely going to need are 3-6 months of consecutive visits to your doctor regarding your weight problems. most insurance do require something along these lines. but you dont have to wait to see the barriatric surgeon to start getting those visits in. if you're seriously considering this and you've done your research i'd set up an apt as soon as possible to get things going.to be approved most insurances want you to have a BMI of at least 40 or a BMI of 35 and other weight related core morbities such as sleep apnea or high blood pressure. i hope this helped a bit. and good luck!!
  23. hey girl. just wanted to see how you were doing. hope you are recovering quick!

    First Fill

it hurts but nothing unbearable. my doc dosent use lidocaine either. and even without it, its not too bad.my doctor will only do a fill once a month. and you get them until you get the right spot for you. it took 3 fills for me. im currently at 4.5ccs in a 10 cc band. some people need more than that. some need less. good luck with your 1st fill.
  25. they,ve got some really good options at victoria;s secret . pricey but worth it. id suggest taking the time to get measured next time you go bra shopping. i've found that fit is the key for strapless bras. i know when i got measured id gone down a few inches and a cup size
