  1. hey girli went to the dr. on the 22nd he took me off my diabetes meds.finally some progress huh

  2. hang in there girl, this to shall pass.you're not alone I too am a s-l-o-w!loooseer! everyone says slpwer is better it sure doesn't feel that way.i was banded 12/23/08.and down 56lbs.in a size 10 goal size 8.my medical dr. is thrilled,he has taken me off my diabetes medication.when told his nuse,"she this lady she is half the size she was,in a minute i won't recognize her"yet i still feel fat as the back of a hippopotmus a$$.we'll all journey together!
  3. I eat what i can tolerate.yogart, carnationatio instant breakfast,chili soup.no carbs, noproblem
  4. the job can do that no matter what insurance carrier you have.i have bc/bs my job has a wls/treatment clause.i ended up using charge cards.because i wanted it so bad i still wish i had more available on my card to have gotten the bypass.but on a more positive note on yesterday 3/22 my medicine doctor took me off my diabetic medication.so i can see some good behind all this hard work.

    try coffee or hot tea in the mornings my dr says it is normal to be tighter inthe morning.try carnation instant breakfast drink in the bottle get them really cold or icy that and yogart is my daily lunch good protein, no slimming:thumbup:

    March 2010 Mile Challenge

    my goal is 10 miles a day it usually takes me 2 hours in the gym,4miles on the treadmill -1hr2miles onthe elliptical 12 hr 4 miles on the bike 22 minutes.or 45min45min12hour:thumbup:

I have hugh thighs was banded 12/08.my thighs are smaller yet bigger than i want them.i was in a size 16 now in a 10 goal an 8.i havent measured my hugh thighs b/c i hate them so.to me i look like the backmof a hippopotomus a$$ by the thighs and butt. But!!!!!!i'm working on them daily my goal is to do 10-miles a on the machines in the gym.this is my 3rd week. Daily i feel the soreness and tiredness in my legs and thighs so eventually something has to happen
  9. I WISH I COULD DO 30 MINUTES A DAY. I DO 2-2AND1/2 HRS A DAYIN THE GYM.MY GOAL IN THE GYM FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS HAS BEEN 10 MILES A DAY:wub:. THATS WHAT I DO. I GUESS I HAVEN'T HIT THAT SWEET SPOT B/C MY MD SAYS THAT I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO WORK OUT THAT HARD.:tongue2: YET I AM GETTING READY TO ADD 2 DAYS OF AROEBICS IN ADDITION TO 5 DAYS IN THE GYM:thumbup:

    I have never heard of band fill centers, are they cheaper than md office visits

    I agree i say go for what will make you happy.my medicine doctor and i never agree he just laughs and say,"you're going to do what you want to anyway

    My gift to myself willbe that by my 50th birthday ibe 2 and maintain my goal weight of 130lbs.1 and 1/2 years to get there wish me luck and gods grace

    do I need a fill?

    The main point is are you losing weight? @my dr. Office they ask if u can eat steak maybe you shouldn't be able to eat steak.yet still check with your dr.

    I was a self pay the fills were covered for a year.if your insurance dosen't cover wls it doesn't cover fills

    Weight Gain after joining gym?

    I have a ? Can u exercise too much,and hinder your wtloss.my daily goal now is 10miles on the cardio-machines a day.treadmill, elliptical , bike and cross trainer

    I find with the lapband exercise is a must but with the bypass it is not! Your best bet is the bypass
  21. I have to workou 1&1/2 -2 hrs a day too see wt loss on the scale.i am now in a size 10 1 yr post band.my goal is an 8.and a wt of 130lbs.i do fine during the day i can eat a liquid/soft diet but i get my hungriest in the evening.i am a snacker.
  22. These are valid ? Ask your md.the long work hours would probably mandate a couple for weeks.use a pillow to brace your abd.when you first get up , stand with your feet firmly planted on the floor and slowly pull your back straight before you move,don't walk stooped over

    Am I too tight??

    My md stated that you could be having esophageal spasms so try the hot teain the morning and see if you keep anything down in the evening.you may have to drink slowly

    Thats my vice i drink coffee 1c daily.sometimes a 2nd in the evening when i am cold and have head hunger too not eat

    I know it's not easy but ...

    Well guys i still get very emotion, angry with self fro not progressing the way i feel i should. Too me this is a very hard and long journey.still struggling.
