  1. Hey sweet heart... how are you? What's new? How is your journey going? Thinking of you! :)

  2. I haven't talked to you in so long and have missed our talks and motivating each other! How are you? HOw is your journey going? How are the little ones?

  3. Hi there... I just found out yesterday that I am 6 weeks pregnant. Not planned and still adjusting to the news... Does anyone know of a good prenatal vitamin/chewable one? I have been nauseau's for about 10 days and am having trouble keeping anything down. I go to see my OB tomorrow and my surgeon on Friday... but in the meantime I need a plan for a Vitamin. I am still taking my regular chewable Multivitamin... but if ya'll have any suggestions I could use them. Thanks so much!! "T"
  4. Piper is doing fantastic and is still TERRIBLY 2!!! The baby is doing good. I am VERY anxious for December 30th to hurry up and get here so I can find out if it is a boy or a girl!! If it is a boy I am trying to get Scott (my hubby) to buy into the name Peyton Daniel :) I'm hoping for a boy... I think I should stop hoping that though bc I am going to jinx myself. I hope you are feeling better with everyday and know that I am here if you need ANYTHING! :) Thinking of you, keeping you in my prayers and hoping for a fast and healthy recovery! :) :) :) :)

  5. Oh angel face! I am so elated and so sad at the same time! I am so excited about your band and so sad by your other trials. I sure hope you get to feeling better really soon. I will keep you and the results in my prayers! I have faith that it will all come back ok. Did he say if it comes back benign what they have to do to remove the masses from your throat? It is ashame that he didn't find that before your surgery so they could have taken care of it one way or the other the same day as your lapband. Keep you head up; it will be ok! :) I am so proud of you and the journey you have been on, you are so strong and are doing SO great! I have a copy of my pre-op and post- op diet scanned to my home computer. If you have an email address I can send it to you. I am doing pretty good... SO thankful (knock on wood) not to have gained any so far!!

  6. I LOVE the chocolate. You can buy them in huge tubs or single serving packets to try the flavors or carry with you. They are realtively in-expensive and you'll never come to my house and not be able to find it. It has been a staple for my diet since surgery and keeps me very full! :) I have told Piper about the baby... but I don't know that she really gets it.... who knows for sure. When I say be careful not to kick mommy's tummy or you'll hurt the baby; she runs to her playrool and grabs a babydoll and holds it to my belly. it's really very cute! :) How far apart are your kids? I just can't tell if she understands. I am so excited for you.... pretty soon you'll want to change your name to 1 hott mama! :) Keep me posted and know I'm here if you need ANYTHING! :) "T"

  7. I am so exited for you... YAY 6 days! :) I have heard of people keeping gas ex on hand but taking it before hand will not really help you bc it will wear off by the time you do your pre-op at the hospital with the prep and get put under etc... nothing can really help you with the gas initally. They fill your stomach with air/gases and it is what it is. I took some as soon as I got home... but it wasn't really bad until a few days after when the anesthia wears off. Oh my goodness, I drank and still do to this day a protein shake called Jay Robb... it is like heaven in a cup. 1 serving has 30 grams of protein only 110 calories, and 1 carb... it also has 0 grams of sugar which is HUGE for a protein shake. They come in Chocolate, Vanilla, Pina Colada, Tropical Dreamsicle and flavorless. I add some whipped cream, psyllium husk powder (no taste but helps keep you regular) and a few ice cubes... it's like a frosty from Wendy's.

  8. The pregnancy is a bit depressing. I worked so hard to lose the weight; I am really struggling with my growing belly... which REALLY upset's Dr. C. He said "I remember when you came in here and this was all fat... now it's all baby". I am so tired of people asking if it's twins... No I'm just fat! While I'm very fortunate not to have gained any weight. I already look like I have a basketball in my stomach and I'm only 10 weeks. The comments from my co-workers etc... is very disheartening. :( On a positive note... 8 lbs is FANTASTIC! Congrats! You are doing so wonderful. I will keep my fingers crossed and you in my prayers about your weight loss prior to his birthday party. Are you exercising? What are you eating? How are you feeling aside from the adjustment discomfort/sickness? I hope you are doing great and look forwarding to keeping in touch!

  9. Hi sweets! What's new? I've been back to see Dr C 3 times this month to get my band straightened out. he took out 1 cc, then put back .5 cc's then I went back to being sick so he took out that .5 cc yesterday. So total I am out 1 cc since finding out I'm pregnant. I hope things are doing great and look forward to hearing how you're doing! :) I hope everything is GREAT!! :) :) :) :) :)

  10. HI sweet pea! I am SOOOO excited, the big day is just around the corner... 11 more days. Are you excited? How are you feeling? Do you need anything? I hope all is well and look forward to hearing how you're doing. Thank you for the congrats. It was a VERY hard pill to swallow. I worked so hard to lose 65 lbs and we weren't trying to get pregnant right now... but it's not in my hands and happened for a reason. the good news is I am 10 weeks an haven't gained any yet! :) I hope it stays that way! :) Hope to talk to you soon!

  11. You have come such a long way!! Congratulations on the approval. I am so excited for you and keep you and your journey in my prayers! Welcome to the BANDwagon! :)

  12. OMG... please help. Did they tell you at your first sonogram that you were having twins? If not, how far along in your pregnancy were you when you found out?

  13. Hey darlin... How are you? What's new? How's not weighing yourself going? I hope everything is wonderful and you're doing great! :)

    Prenatal vitamins

Thank you so much for your input. My Surgeon advised me to go with a regular prenatal and told me I could cut it up into smaller pieces if necessary. I am actually able to take it whole... I sure do miss the ease of mind when it came to my regular chewable multi though... Good luck to all of you with your pregnancy!!
  15. I am SOOOO glad to hear about them extending your contract... that is phenominal! Not weighing yourself between appointments is very hard! I agreed to that after my first fill too bc he said I was too focused on the number and now the other successes I had achieved. I didn't last though... after about a week I weighed myself. My weight did stall after my accident but largely bc I was in pain and wasn't exercising regularly like I had been for so long. I'm doing ok... I'm in a bit of a stage of denial. Scott and I just found out on Monday that I am 6 weeks pregnant! Still adjusting to the news! I went on Friday and Dr. C took out 1cc of fluid from my band bc I am experiencing a lot of morning sickness. He wants me to go back in two weeks to see if that was the right amount or if he should put some back in or needs to take more out. Other than that things are great. How are your little ones?

  16. I am SOOOOOO excited for you and your upcoming surgery date! If there is anything you need... I'm here! YEAH YOU!!!! :)

  17. Hi angel face! Yes I was in a pretty bad accident on 8/18... I am in physical therapy 2 times a week for my back... but other than that I am fine. The BEST news is that my baby wasn't in the car. I would have been devastated and probably put in jail for killing the other woman if she had been and had gotten hurt! :) No worries! How are you? I hope you are doing better and that job hunting is getting better! GMAC is always hiring... they don't pay great and it's collections... but it's a job. We're over off of Old St. Augustine road and I-95... If you are interested. I hope you're doing well and look forward to catching up.

  18. I did it... but I sure as heck don't remember it. It is so much easier than I ever dreamt it to be and you will be fantastic and go through it in spectacular form. I'm doing pretty good. My weight loss has slowed which is a bit frustrating but I was in a pretty bad car accident 3 weeks ago and haven't exercised since the day before. I believe this has caused me to crave more carbs and allow myself to cheat more than usual. I am working on getting back in track as I'd like to be down at least 10 more pounds before my friends wedding on the 17th of Oct. I go back to see Dr. C on Tuesday and as far as I can tell... all is really going well. I hope you had a spectacular week and look forward to hearing more about your upcoming surgery date! :) :) :)

  19. I am SO excited for you about your fantastic and celebration worthy news! I can't wait to hear about your surgery date and subsequent appointments pre-surgery. I can sympathize with you about the panic of being put to sleep, I had never had any major surgery that required me to be put to sleep; I had an epidural w/my c-section (looking back I wish I had been put to sleep). However, it really was a non-event. You really don't even realize it happens and when you wake up... you have NO CLUE how long you've been out or what happened. I talked to Dr. C, the anesthologist and my fiance and have zero recollection. I was more concerned about the tube down my throat than the acutal being put to sleep part. I was so upset when I found out you have to communicate with the anesthologist before she will take it out (i.e.- make eye contact and squeeze her fingers)...

  20. P.S. Don't stress not one ioda of a second over your appointment w/Dr. B... #1 he is a very sweet man & a wonderful surgeon #2 you are not going through any different a struggle (as far as your weight loss is concerned) than anyone else who has been banded and this is only a foot step toward where you will be in no time. The time since your sugery is when your body is to be healing and they (even Dr. C) are not looking for you to be losing huge chunks of weight. They are looking for you to heal and be healthy. The tough times as far as your weight loss will come after your body has healed, you have been filled and you begin to struggle with plateaus and failing motivation. He will be proud of how far you have come and the progress you and your body have made in recovering from this major surgery despite your personal difficulties! :) He will be far from disappointed!

  21. Just remember that you have gone through far too much to get to this point to let life's misfortunes and all around bad deal to get you down. Just continue to look into the faces of your beautiful babies and remember that you are on the right path, with this surgery you have changed your life for the better and that this has happened so that your career may suit the new you. In the meantime, I am so sorry for your recent loss and hardship and hope that you know that if there is ANYTHING I can do be of assistance, support or encourangement in this tough time I am here for you.

  22. I am sorry it has taken me 5 days to reply... I think I was hoping I would find some perils of wisdom for you about your situation. As far as the weight loss goes, unfortunately you have just experienced one of the pitfalls you and I have spoken of in the past... where after surgery and each fill I too have gained weight back upon starting soft foods. The body is an amazing and frustrating thing! I can completely understand and sympathize with your stress/depression issue causing it hard to stay focused on your new way of life.

  23. hey girlie... what's new? How are you? How are you feeling? Time for some before and current pics huh?? I Hope you are doing spectacular and I look forward to hearing from you!

  24. Amanda,

Oh how I would love to tell you that the band has helped me with those things. I have to say I have read on here where it has helped some... but my cravings and eating for boredom are still very prevalent and I could out eat anyone when it comes to chocolate and oreos!!! :( I think like everything with this process it depends on the person. Just like some people feel restriction right after surgery am some with as little as one fill... I was not that person and it has taken A LOT of discipline and desire to get to this point. I am here if you need anything and am glad to help and support you... ask away! I hope you are doing well and look forward to keeping in touch. P.S. Do you have a date yet?
