My followup is in the morning at 710am so Ill tell my dr as well but I have been up the last hour throwing up spit and burping. I was feeling nauseous so I tried to break up a pill I was given by dr and drank a part w/ some water. Thats when the "fun" began. I cant fall back asleep b/c every 15 minutes I am having to throw up. All that is coming up is spit...Im feeling like crap! I did eat some baked salmon earlier this evening and ate too big a bite and felt like I was going to throw up but didnt..that was at 630pm........I really hope I havent caused my band to slip. I want to cry right now:( :laugh:

my dr never even told me anything about taking vitamins although I should be. Which are you taking besides calcium?

Hi! I had my surgery scheduled for 145pm y'day but didnt go in until 310pm. THere was an emergency surgery ahead of me. I came out about 430pm and immediately wanted to walk around and pee. Checked out at 5pm. I had a big hernia so I had major pain in both shoulders and neck but nothing unbearable. My stomach really hasnt bothered me at all. It still hurts a bit to breathe deep but nothing too bad. I made it! :cool2:

Good luck! Mine is 145pm tomorrow. I cant sleep! Its 1030pm here in FL. lol

I have been drinking water but not much. My dr said to attempt a gallon but Im not even close. Im more worried about being w/out water ALL day tomorrow since my surgery is not until 145pm. Yikes! I am not nervous yet....maybe tomorrow I will be...:thumbup:

LOL these are all great!!! :bored: I'll be glad when I can.... look at the scale and not see a 2 at the beginning shop in the "cute clothes" stores go out with friends and not be the biggest one play with my son outside and not get super hot immediately

I am....its always worked for me in the past & my dr recommended it. I bought some portabello mushroom broth and chicken broth from walmart for the liquids phase and got some samples of Unjury coming. :thumbup:Hopefully Ill get them Saturday! I just placed order today and Im in FL. We'll see.

i have been doing Low Carb for the past 3 weeks (my own decision and had to drop lbs) but my dr wanted me LC this past week. I go on liquids Tues & Wed and eat/drink nothing Thursday. My problem is im the last surgery of the day!!! 145pm

I am also 7/23! :scared2:

are we doing this for pre-ops or just post-op people?

For those who just had surgery.... Mine is 7/23 and I only have enough time to take off two days. (Thursday, Friday and then I already have the weekend off). Do you think I'll be ok after 4 days to return on Monday?? I know everyone is different. I usually recover well from surgery. Please give me your opinions about how you felt after 4 days. Some others may disagree but cheating for me has broken plateaus in the past. Granted, I am referring to diets as I dont get banded until 7/23 but when I successfully lost 40 lbs in 3 mths on South Beach a few years back I'd hit a stall and have ONE day of being bad (within limits) and my weight loss would kick back in. Hope that helps...

I am not on a pre-op diet but I started doing low carb on my own last Monday and went from 275 to 269 today:) I was 267 at my last appt the end of May so I didnt try to keep it off since I wasnt sure I was going to be approved. (Silly, I know).

Hi all! I am scheduled for the 23rd as well. :thumbdown: I have gained 1 or 2 lbs since my last appt. (I was 267 and this morning was 269) so i am nervous my dr is going to be upset that I've gone up. My pre op w/ him is on the 15th so Im super dieting today and tomorrow LOL.

Yep im very single. I'm glad to be as I've seen how relationships can end after lap band which sucks....

Hi everyone! My name is Angela and Im 28. I live in Jacksonville FL and have a 7 yr old. Im a single mom and work at a large bank. I have been overweight since 5th grade going forward. I never got to experience that "skinny" phase. LOL. I got approved through Aetna and my surgery is on 7/23. I am super excited to see what is in my future after lap band and losing weight!

WHen I told my best friend about my approval she didnt seem very happy for me and later admitted she was a bit depressed b/c she thinks our friendship will change. We have both been big our whole lives and food was a big part of our friendship (Going out to eat, etc). She is married already and doesnt really go out so that isnt going to be an issue. But has this happened to anyone with a friend who is also overweight and how did they react to you losing your weight? We have been friends over 10 years and I told her I'd hope that me losing weight would not ruin that...
