hi everyone, banded april 20th...doing great...went to doctors yesterday allowed mushies. which is great cause i was starving. now this morning i had a egg a tablespoon of salsa. . lunch 1/2 cup refried Beans a teaspon of cheese salsa and a tablespoon of fat free sour cream. it was so good, but i was not full by any means. dinner same as above plus some baby chicken food a tablespoon and a teasppoon of hubbys mashed potato's. but i am still hungry........oh damn this is hell!!!! way to much??? help any suggestions....... thanks

congrats!!!! i did not have any gas pains.....guess i was lucky i was banded april 20th.

thanks kartman, i know i have to up my Protein, i brought the new protein bullets, so i will do one of those a day 26 grams. i have only lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks, so i have been extra carefull, plus i do not want to strectch my band. thanks again yiu have been a been hope. sandi

really not bad at all. i was awake for the first one i had, had a little gagging, but was fine. they had to do a 2nd one found a band of skin that one i was put to sleep for. last about 1/2......is over very quickly. you will be fine. good luck.

hi everyone, i need a pep talk.........going into 2nd week post op (april 20 surgery). talk to doctor on friday, told them i was hungry, they told me to begin, sf pudding- yogart-cream Soup 1/2 cup - cream of wheat. which i have done, but my stomach is growling and i am hungry, not extremely, but i could eat more. could it just be in my head, since i am home and have lots of time on my hands (retired in january). need some thoughts. just tell me it will get better, just hate the feeling of always being hungry! thanks in advance, sandi

had surgery on april 20th. today felt really good and went grocery shopping. did not lift any thing heavier than 10 pound probably only about 5. just lots of trips from car to house. 1 bag at a time. (hubby golfing...not happy with me when he got home). now i have a little nagging dull ache in middle of belly. does not really hurt just i feel something. i go to doctors on april 29 for post op appt. anyway anyone else do lots of stuff to early? or anyone have a opinion what i did. i would think if band came lose it would hurt and i would know. thanks

hi everyone, had surgery april 20th, but am home with oxygen. I also have copd. anyone else have that problem. i am hoping to be taken off when i go post opt appointment april 20th. also having diarreha (how no food for 12 days now)???anyone else? got on scale and gained 10 pounds. had lost 7, but put all but 3 back on!!! now that is upsetting. anyone else. also feeling so tried. i guess this is all normal just need just reinforcement. thanks

thanks for the message........ i am still on liquids, no shakes yet, not allowed until after my 1st post op, which is wednesday the 29th. then i think it is shakes yogurt, mash potatos, so i have while before any food is introduce. just was upset about weight gain and oxygen. sandi

hi everyone, ok i am in big trouble..........been going to pcp doctor every month for 6 months now. (have done all the other testing). i gained 10 pound in the last 6 months due to just not watching, no one told me i had to lose weight. ( i changed doctors after my 5th month due to no one getting back to me on difference things). duh should have known!! oh doctors name dr colella (pittsburgh):thumbup:...there office was awful. now going to dr ramanathan (much better with info).:thumbup: new doctors just informed me on weight loss, now i might have to go another 3 months before surgery. big chance of being turned down. i am so upset. has anyone else had this problem? any advice would be great! thanks

hi, just started my pre op today. surgery is scheduled for april 20th, so i only have to be on 5 days. 3 shakes per day - broth - etc. only noon not so bad so far:rolleyes2:!

hi, have a quick question. how much weight did you loss in the first 6 weeks to 2 months after surgery? i have family reunion June 6 having surgery april 20th....last time alot of the people saw me i was 80 lbs less. know i will not loss that much, but i was hoping for at least 20 to 30. thanks everyone
