I have found that a natural sea salt cleanse does the work within an hour of drinking. You need 32oz of lukewarm Water and 1 tbs of all natural sea salt (not iodized) add lemon or lime juice (1-3 tbs) if you can't stand drinking the salt water by itself. Drink it all and within a hour you will have a bowel movement. Make sure that for the next day you drink plenty of water to flush your system. What I like about this cleanse it does not cramp your stomach like the other cleanses do. One last thing after you drink the solution, within 15 - 20 mins you will start passing some gas.

To be honest I get frustrated at times when I can only eat a very, very small portion and think I can't possibly be full....but I do. I have to get rid of years of overeating out of my mind and know that when the band says that's enough STOP. I have my good and bad days, but I don't regret getting the band. I love hearing people tell me I look good and skinny minnie (BTW...I nowhere near skinny). LOL

You're worried about not losing in 2 weeks, try a few months. I have been losing a gaining the same 5-7 for the last couple of months. I know I have not really being following the rules. I've stop going to the gym because I was frustrated not seeing the scale go down, but of course I was gaining muscle but losing inches. Please keep up what you are doing and eat a little more than 1000. Don't end up doing what I have allowed myself to do. I should have been at my goal by know, but I can't compare myself to others. I will do better. KEEP UP THE AWESOME JOB!!!!!!

I'm dealing with this right now. I was fine all last week until that Friday....I was eating good but started craving for things that I should not eat. My cycle started Friday too and now I know what's going on. I've been hitting the gym and everything and soon as m cycle comes I want everything I've stayed away from (breads, Pasta, chocolates, etc)

I have the 14 cc band and I now have 10.9 in my band and I have reached my sweet spot. I can eat and will not be hungry for 4-5 hrs later. Please don't get head hunger confused with actual stomach hunger. I've pretty much been heavy all m life and I'm still dealing with the head hunger issue. It has been a struggle for me to lose weight. I now understand the signals the band gives me to tell me "okay that's enough". I love the restriction. My biggest challenge is over the weekends. When I'm at work I'm too busy to think about eating (head hunger)....not the case when I'm home, so I try to keep myself busy so that head hunger won't bother me.

Thanks for sharing your story and what helps for you to kick start your weight lose again. I too have struggled between 289 - 286 for several months now. I started back in the gym last week and intend on keeping this up. I want to lose my hundred pounds before my 2yr anniversary in July.

My bandiversary will be the 29th and I have lost 70 lbs so far. I was hoping to lose at least 100 lbs by the 29th, but thank God I was able to lose the 70 lbs. I just need to stay focus.

I want to start dating. I really have not bothered trying to date anyone because of my size. These men are not interested in a woman my size. They can't get past my weight and really get to know me. I'm tired of hearing "you have a really pretty face, but..."

Congrats to your success. My 1 yr. is next month and I'm struggling to lose 30 pounds in order to hit 100 lbs lost.

Walk, Walk, Walk. Walk from 5-10 minutes every hour and get a heating pad. These two things helped me. The pain will go away in a few day.
Stay Strong

I really don't care what other people think about me having this WLS. It was my decision and I had medical reasons why. Having the band is not a cure to all your problems. You still have to eat healthy and exercise. The alerts me of my limitations, without the band I had no limitations. I would eat and eat and eat. I know I have come a long way and I thank God for that. I don't eat half as much as I use to. My only thing now is working out on a regular basis. I'll work out good for a week and it never fails, something always comes up that prevent me from going to the gym but no excuse...I could workout at home even if it is for only 15 - 30 minutes a day.

I find bananas and oranges hard for me to eat, so I stay way from them. I eat bread sparingly....but I love bread, its my weakness.

Yes my bowel movements have changed since the surgery. I'm more constipated now that ever. I have used the tasteless Fiber powder which works, but you have to use it at least 2 -3 times a day. My stomach feels uncomfortable too and that is a sign for me that I need to have a movement. I've taken M.O.M. and it works, but I do not want to take laxatives all the time in order to get relief.

Yes I have that issue as well. I think I have gas more that I did before the band.

@ Chickadee81.... LOL join the club. That's my problem too. my waist fit fine, but the legs and butt part is saggy and way too big.

I'm 34 pounds away from losing 100 pounds. I know I have not been in the gym as much as I should, so I need to get back with it if I want to lose 34 pounds before my bandiversary (7/29). But I most say this is the most weight I have lost at one time and I'm loving it!!!!!!!

I have put away a few items that are too big (can't believe I'm saying that). I did buy some shirts that are too small for now but will eventually be able to wear soon. My pants that I bought a month ago are getting real loose. I had a few fat clothes that I did not what to get rid of because they were so fashionable, but I can always but more fashionable clothes!!!!
I love my band!!!!

I like smoothie Kings Gladiator Protein Powder (45g) and I've started drinking the Atkins Advantage (15g) and also the Kroger brand whey Protein powder (25g). I like adding Peanut Butter with the Smoothie King chocolate protein powder.

I have 8.5 cc in my 14cc band. At the time of surgery my doctor put 8cc in the band and I have just had one fill (.5) so far. I go on the 19th for a visit to see if I need a fill. I went in December for a fill and they told me that I had good restriction and did not need a fill. They did not want me to be too tight. I've lost 57 pounds so far I guess that is not bad for someone who was banded on 7/29/09.
I have not felt hunger or starving at this point, I find myself going 4-7 hours without eating sometimes. I will see if I have lost any weight Tuesday. If I have not lost any weight, I know for sure that I have lost inches. My clothes are real loose on my.....I need smaller clothes!!!! Who would have thought I would be saying that since I've been obese all of my life!!!!! :w00t:

Thank you Razorgirl for reminding them of that. Congrats on making it to the mushie stage. I think once you get pass the liquid stage this whole journey gets better.

It will be four months post for me on 11/29 and I have lost 52 pounds. I know that I need to exercise more than I'm doing right now. I try to get in at least 80oz of Protein a day and I drink around 64oz of Water, which I need to drink more. I would love to lose 100 lbs by my bandiversary July 29,2010.

Not doing so well.....I have lost 70 lbs so far but hoped I would have lost 100+ by know. I blame no one but myself. I slacked off on my exercise and started eating things I shouldn't have. I plan to get on track this month and get me a personal trainer. I recently had a fill and it really gives me the restriction I need. I have lost 6 lbs since my fill on 3/25 so far.
