HI, You can call your insurance and do 2 things. 1-make sure they cover the surgery 2- ask what are the requirements. Mine was a 6 mo supervised diet.(some are only 3 months) and a EKG. and 1 Psy meeting. O-nce submitted it took about 2 weeks for the Isn. approval The other requirements were from the Dr.- Blood test, chest x-ray.

Okay. That sucks. Really, don't give up hope yet! Many times the Dr can help during that peer conversation. Make sure to tell the Dr ANY thing that your weight is effecting..knees, hips, breathing. Cholesterol. Fingers crossed for you! If for any reason you still get denied gain a bit of weight and re submit. Keep us posted!

That could be the issue right there! You are NOT eating enough. you need to eat 6 times a day. even a tidbit will help. You body is in starvation mode! I just went to my Nut meeting and she said if you are not eating enough you will not lose! You need to check out what others are eating but Never go that long without eating! Keep us posted!

Thank you all so much! I am not like this in my 'Normal" life. I am the" look at the bright side" kinda girl, but, not the kind you want to slap. I am easy going, calm under pressure...take a breath, relax type. Apparently, by the glazed look in my eyes, my visions of people throwing themselves on my casket wailing WHY... WHY...all this over a fat thighs,' a Buddha Belly and Chaffing! I have lost my easy going attitude. LOL. Just going to try and suck it up, I can always walk out (prior to anesthesia, of course)

I have thought about WLS for several years now and I am all approved and my date is in 2 weeks. I am now getting ready to back out. I have gotten myself so afraid of the "what if" I have complications etc and die. I am so close with my kids 9&10 and am the only stable thing in their lives and I want to be a more active Mom and be around for them for a long time and being #120 over weight is not going to help that. I feel I am being vain but in all honesty you guys, I don't think I have the willpower to lose this on my own. After trying so many times and failing I am tired of trying 1 more diet. Has anyone else been where I am? Please tell me how you coped? I don't want to back out but I am afraid.....what a goofball I am

SO ..... I am eating all the crap I know I shouldn't with the "well, better eat in now, can't later" thought! getting really scare and I am having such a hard time quitting smoking. I smoke when I am scared so this is REALLY convenient...but I am working on it ! Only a few weeks to go you guys ~ O-M-G.

Going thru this right now! PIA Today is my last day of smoking, will use gum after this! then done!! GOD HELP ME! Lol I LOVE smoking but why go thru all this? I don't want to look skinny in a casket, I want to live skinny!

11/24 for me but now I am getting 2nd thoughts! I am really scared, I need to do this for me and my kids but I am scared of the surgery....I am such a weirdo, been so excited but now I am scared.

Hi everyone! I am in Howell Mi, Dr. is KATZ I am having the sleeve on Nov 24th and scared to death but excited too. Anyone else have KATZ?? Surgery is at St. John Macomb-Oakland in Madison Heights.

I m getting my Sleeve the 24th. I too feel the same way. I look forward to getting skinny but feel like a total loser that it has come to this because I could not do it on my own. I am confident this is the answer .Buddy up with me and I let you know everything.It will be okay, just start and back out later if uhave too.

Thanks @@nprcowboy I also spoke to a lady at my Dr. office and said they do not test for nicotine. Still am quitting but takes pressure off a bit. PHEW!!!

Got a call from the Dr. with my date Nov 24th Yippie!! But now I am freaking out because I was told I would not have a blood test but today they said I would. I am a smoker and have been for years. I quit when I was pregnant with both kids and another time, but NEVER cold turkey. I was, in my little plan, going to fully set my quit date for 10 days before surgery but now I am afraid the nicotine will show up in my blood test and I will be denied. Has anyone smoked and passed the blood test? Don't get me wrong, I am not going to go through all this only to continue to smoke, but I need to get in the mind set, I was planning to have my last Cig this Sunday night after the Halloween Bash. that would give me 23 days smoke free. Anyone had a blood test for Nicotine?

I was in a relationship like this, kinda. I was sick of being unsure of where things were going when I knew where I wanted them to go. I finally just said...I want more from a relationship and we are wasting each others time. I went on to say the ball ins in his court and moved back to my Apt full time. With in 2 weeks he was back and committed and we have been married for 14 yrs.
