Anyone going sharp memorial in San Diego

Recommended Posts

Hello . I've just started this journey November 1. So my primary care doctor wrote me a referral to see Dr. George Mueller last month. I had to go to his seminar on November 1 for 2 hours. I then took a couple of test that I had to fax over. About 3 day later I got a call saying that I passed both test and now Time for step 2. On December 11 I get to me with Dr. Mueller and Laura my nutritionist my next steps. Now I know I have to do the 6 month nutrition class and see a psychologist . What's next? Does this all mean I've been approved for surgery? How many visit with the psychologist do I need? I you can tell very nervous and scared shitless. My insurance is care first I'm not sure if that require my to do anything else. Please is someone has some info that can help that would be great.

HI, You can call your insurance and do 2 things. 1-make sure they cover the surgery 2- ask what are the requirements.

Mine was a 6 mo supervised diet.(some are only 3 months) and a EKG. and 1 Psy meeting. O-nce submitted it took about 2 weeks for the Isn. approval

The other requirements were from the Dr.- Blood test, chest x-ray.

Hi! I'm going through the same thing. My insurance requires a 6 month process; blood tests, psych, meetings with nutritionist, EKG etc. Once I've completed the 6 month process they submit it to my insurance for approval. I can't hardly wait. I've been obsesses with the forums.and youtube vidwos.of.everyone else who's had or having the surgery soon. My 6 month visit is in Jan 2015..... ugh!!! Good luck to you!! I have read in some cases the doc will submit everything at the 4 month mark and insurance will approve. I'm not gonna do that but it's an option for some.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
