I have been on my pre op diet for a week now and my surgery is in the morning. I, until today, could have 3-4 Protein shakes a day. No caffeine , all the sugar free Jello I want. any sugar free drinks, low fat yogurt and lots of Water. I would call your DR, and ask what he wants for a diet!

Two nights. Hope they can convert you!! Lets keep each other in our prayers

My surgery is tomorrow...I have to be there at 7:15am. OMG. The Hospital I am going to In Michigan is one of the Highest rated in Michigan and my surgeon is rated 3rd in the country. But still I am a nervous wreak. Wouldn't it be fun is we could all be in pre-op together....chatting about everything....

I am so with you!!!!! My surgery is Monday and I am scaring myself to death. I am just going in Demanding some kind of sedative and pray I make it out alive. If I do I will be happy I did this because I know I can't keep it off on my own!

I am set for Monday the 24th, crapping my pants, scared to death and wishing I was excited. At this rate I am going to walk in and plead some kind of sedative or I am afraid I will walk out. I just want to come out of it to see my kids! Lets all keep in contact with each other, it will be nice to have a group of friends going thru the same issues and losses together!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do the same thing to my kids LOL! "Do I look like that lady honey?" NO Mom....apparently they have the same "I am not that issue"

I think in regards to BD, we have all seen pictures of ourselves and said " do I really look that big? Or am I really that fat??" I know I do, to the point I do not allow my photo taken often.

I think they only notice when you pile your plate! Good to know! I thought UN-Laws was on purpose...too funny!

I wanted to just say a quick THANK YOU to all of people who have answered my questions and those of others. I have posted a few questions here and most of them have been about my absolute fear of having this surgery. I am thankful to you that have posted encouraging words, it has helped. I am afraid but not as much! I have read your responses to other peoples questions and those have been very informative and helpful in what lays ahead!. So here is a shout out to all of you that answer our posted questions! You have no idea how much your insight help. Jacq P.S. wish me luck on Monday.....Holy Sh$t!

Well, I called the Dr. this morning. I have been thinking about it all night long! They said they think it is either a fat tumor, or scar's from phenomena or a collapsed lung. I then said "well, I am glad to hear that! Is my surgery still set for Monday because if not I am having a huge sandwich! She and I laughed and she said NOPE you are having surgery Monday morning! Thank you all for your support! I really love how everyone tries to help each other!

So little Miss Scardy Cat just got a call from the Nurse saying my chest X-Ray came back abnormal. Has this ever happed to anyone before?? The nurse was not sure if they were going to cancel my surgery or not. She just said if I don't hear from her it is still a go on Monday. NOT feeling very happy right now. Any input would help

Why can't I be excited.....I am craping my pants! Fear of complications and I don't mind the diet I guess but when you feel hungry it is hard to imagine not feeling that way all the time after WLS. I glad we can all chat here...I too can't wait to ditch the CPAP!

I am going thru the same thing. My fear is dying. I say this as I sit and eat my Jello, 7 days pre-op. My husband told me he was scared I was going to die too. SO there we sat last night staring into space with eyes the size of saucers. Focus on the positive. If they were worried about your heart then you would NOT be cleared! They don't want Malpractice suit! I plan on asking for a MAJOR sedative as soon as I get to the Hospital. The weight WILL kill us. With all that said I am currently crapping my size 22 pants EVEYDAY! But I am going to try not to chicken out!

Taking Charge. That is what I am saying. I am going to have this surgery, no matter how terrified, to take charge of my life again. I will overcome my fear of food change and TAKE CHARGE to become the person I want to see in the Mirror. With this new tummy, I am empowered to TAKE CHARGE of my future and stop letting food and failed diets take charge of me.

YES!! So yesterday I started my pre op diet. During the afternoon, I sat in my chair I closed my eyes to take a quick nap. I counted the days in my head till surgery and to my ABSOLUTE DELIGHT I realized my diet didn't start till today!! Needless to say, I hit the fridge preety fast!

Okay, this diet SUCKS!!! LOL! Day one and I am wanting to cheat...I won't but I WANT to. SO here comes the count down! I can't believe we are a week away. What are you guys looking forward to Most?? Me- NO CHAFFING!
