Anyone been frustrated with their Dr.'s office staff? I have been telling the person that schedules all of the appointments that I need to be done with everything (even surgery) before June 1st due to insurance change that is coming up. My last required class in next week. I have done everything they have made me do and now they are telling me that it will be a few weeks to see the Dr. and then another few weeks for the surgery. Why do they do that when they know that my insurance coverage will be changing soon???!!!!:thumbup: Now they are telling me that I am taking up too much of their time by following up. This is so frustrating!!! Anyone have any ideas on what I should do. No my blood pressure is really going to be high at my next appointment.

WOW.. the power of support on this site is great!! I just received a call from the surgeon's office and they have schedule my consult for next Thursday morning. Thank you everyone for your support. I needed to know that I wasn't being a brat about this.

Thank you EVERYONE for your support. I so want to tell the Dr about this problem but I am afraid that they will support their staff instead of the paying person. I don't think I am being a B**ch about this but come on.... they started out being a really nice group but I am getting second thoughts here.

So???? How did it go? I have my last required class next Monday. I am just nervous as to what the drs questions will be. I am so ready for this to process to be over and to have the surgery DONE. I received my CPAP unit last night and used it for the first time. I could not stand it all night long but I will try again tonight.

Hi everyone, I am in the Lansing area as well. I am also going with Dr's Lane & Richardson. I have finished 4 of the 6 week classes that they require. Once that is done I can meet with the Dr's. Can anyone give me an estimate on how much longer it will take to get the procedure? Is there a long wait to have the surgery after you see the Dr's? Thanks,

Hi kimmie, thank for the reply. I am doing good. How are you? I haven't had the procedure as of yet but I am moving forward with it. I still have 3 more weeks of the required class to take. Have you had the band in place?

Hello everyone, I have not had the procedure as of yet and I am working towards completing everything needed. I have started a diary of my daily meals. everything was going fine until this afternoon. I had a serving of ice cream for lunch. Now I feel rotten.:glare: Has anyone else felt this way?

I have BCBS of MI do you think it will be the same? I gave my surgeon's office a copy of cc statements with charges along with copies of my gym membership payments for the year 2008. I have to go for my appointment with the psychiatrist on Friday and that should be the last item required by the surgeon. Lets hope everything runs smoothly. -

I have all of the documentation required for the surgery but I would like to have additional documentation from a past weight loss center that I used. Has anyone been able to obtain paperwork from the LA Weightloss Center group? They are missing in action here and I can not contact any number for them on the net. If anyone could help that would be wonderful!! Or if you have any suggestions to help as well. :eek: -

Hi Michele, I am not sure about your BCBS but I am with BCBS of MI and they require 6 mos of documentation from your primary doctor or a weight loss center in the last 4 years. I called the insurance company myself and had them fax me copies of the requirements for the surgery. It helped because now I should have everything that is required. I am on my 2nd week of 6 week classes that my surgeon requires before they will schdeule the surgry. I hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!!! Stacy -

thank you for the information. Can I ask who your insurance carrier is? I hope mine will be the same way and I have letters from my Doctor as well stating that they went out of business and we can not obtain records. -
