the nectar is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!!!!!!!! i'm sipping on fuzzy peach right now...with a fruit punch crystal light on the go mixed in....i LOVE the lemon iced tea too...i get an "on the go" to mix in with the nectar powder....my morning routine is to go to 7-11 on my way to work...fill up a super big gulp with ice...throw the nectar powder and a crystal light in...mix and sip all day....

this blog is great!!!!!!!!!! i know EXACTLY what u mean!!!!!!!! i have only been banded for 7 months...and sometimes ...i 4get i was that fat person just 7 months ago...i know how it feels ...i know how "they" (c what i mean) feel.....

today is my 7th month bandiversary!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm a 120 pounds down...(haven't updated my ticker)....banded on oct. 6th 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats to all my fellow losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm almost done!!!!!!!!!!!! my hard work has really paid off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went last week for my 5th fill.....and the fill i thought would take me home to goal....but after a week i'm hungry....starving after 2 hours!!!!!!!!!i know some people that don't feel restricted till 2 weeks after a fill....so i made my appt. for may 20th...but i usually feel it as soon as i eat solids after 24 hours .... i am a bandster that DOES NOT believe in snacking at all....i know that will start up bad habits 4 me...i am still losing...due to my will to stay on track...i just called my surgeons office and asked for another appt. so i could get a fill...my 4th fill was perfect...i stayed "full" for 5 hours inbetween meals...my surgeon is reluctant to give me another fill because i am still losing...but isnt this the whole purpose of the band...too feel restriction...and not to over-eat or snack all day...i feel no matter if i'm losing or not...if i need a fill...i need a fill...i have amped up my exercise and i dont know if this has anything to do with why i'm not feeling satisfied for as long as i was or what...i have no problems following the rules....but i did get this tool to assist me with the rules....i do feel the restriction but not for long and i'm hungry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup:

i have the realize band...i was asked literally 10 mins b4 surgery if i wanted the realize band....at that point i was tired...hungry....and anxious....i told my surgeon he could put a great white in my stomach 4 all i cared....lol....the realize band has the online tracking site...which i've never used...my surgeon preferred the realize band....but i dont think one is better than the other.....

WOW....takes a lot of credit we all have worked very hard to earn and deserve....

I know EXACTLY what u r going through!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have lost sooooooooooo much hair....biotin did absolutely nothing 4 me....another bandster reccommended pre-natal vitamins...and those have helped incredibly!!!!!!!!!!! i''m not far from goal....but i maintained my weight for a couple of weeks and that helped too...i try not to wash my hair as often...i know...gross....but i was at the point were i was going to b thin and bald...lol....i spray in leave-in conditioner and wear a lot of gel'd back pony tails!!!!!!!!!! my hair line really got attacked...but i can say the pre-natal pills have really helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'd agree with everyone else...wait till u can eat solids...i couldn't wait to eat salad again....when i did finally get to eat 1...it did nothing for me...i didnt feel the least bit satisfied.....and i also didnt want to use a bucket of ranch like i used too....lol...

not everyone....exercise plays a huge key in not having to have plastic surgery and i think it depends on how fast u take the weight off....i really ...really did not want to have plastic surgery...unfortunately i have no choice...my apron is causing what used to b minor skin complications to severe...i havent got to goal yet...but after my appt. with my surgeon wednesday he wants the skin removed a.s.a.p.....the good news is my insurance is going to cover it....good luck and i KNOW you'll do great!!!!!!!!!!!

i have to agree with missbs.... Bariatric Advantage Calcium chews in chocolate r delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!! i couldnt believe i was eating something good 4 me...my mom sneaks and eats them...lol...

woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats to u!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u'll be at goal in no time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i didnt celebrate 50....but when i got to ONEderland...my family all pitched in and sent me on a shopping spree....a lot of people take professional pictures....thats probably what i'll do when i get to goal....

i had the mindset that just about anything...throwing up ...scars...not being able to over eat...having to exercise and eating right was better than wearing a size 26...and weighting close to 300 pounds....i would much rather have a scar...occassionally pb...exercise...eat healthier and sport my size 12's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it feels better than any piece of cake...cookie...or candy....words cant explain how happy i am to have this tool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i can totally relate...i'm in a 12...probably could get in2 a 10/11...but i'm not at goal...i have been at 179 pounds for close to 3 weeks now...i had a awesome ride with my band...when i look at myself i'm all :thumbup:....when i look at the scale i'm :ohmy:...i posted a thread once asking if people think u lose more inches...not pounds ...inches when u have weight loss surgery vs. conventinal diets and everyone jumped down my throat...telling me a pound is a pound...when again i said inches...what do u think????????????

good morning kim...i love hearing from bandsters that are long term successes!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it really inspires me!!!!!!!!!!! im only 7 months out of surgery and of course i worry about the long term maintenance...but then i read threads from people that r 3..5..7 years out living with their bands...not gaining weight...and im sooooooooooo excitied!!!!!!!!! by the way jaffasteve has something negative to say about the band on almost every thread he responds too...im sure you're fine and congrats on ur continued success!!!!!!!!!!!!

i went on my jog/power walk last night and i thought to myself ....this isn't so bad!!!!!!!!!!! if i keep eating the way i am and exercising like i do....which also has been such a plus 4 my son...we really enjoy bike riding and talking on walks...he is only 6 and the best exercise partner i could ask 4...(full of energy....lol)...i can stay fit....i wont have to worry about my weight anymore...i'm okay...this was a really good decision...im still eating food that i enjoy...(i'm lucky i was born without a sweet tooth)...and im use to exercising now...i dont think the fact that i wont gain it back .... if i keep doing what im doing has hit me yet...i only lost 6 ounces in the past 2 weeks...but i have not gained a single ounce in 6 months.....wow!!!!!!!!...lol

wow!!!! i can totally relate to this post...my best friend is over weight and cant deal with my weight loss...she is now having bypass surgery on wednesday....she was all 4 the band till her surgeon told her it was going to take her a lot longer with the band to lose 100 pounds...she totally rushed in2 this surgery...she has no idea what she is getting herself into...i ask her ?'s about dumping and how she feels about having her intestines tampered with...her response is "i dont care...i want to lose just as fast as u did"...she is scheduled 4 this wednesday...and has not bought her vitamins or her protein drinks...because she is unable to afford them...i'm worried about her....but she is so gung ho about catching up to me....losing a 100 is more important to her than her health....:thumbup:

i think this site is GREAT...im soooooooo happy to b a member....i read soooooo many threads and feel sooooooooooo lucky that i have not had any major complications...i did have hair loss...which has stopped...and i can count on 1 hand how many times i've pb'd...i've lost a lot of weight...i've always had perfect restriction after a fill...never too much...never too little...my pain after surgery was minimal...i had it done on a monday ...was back to work that thursday...i sit here and read some threads with my jaw dropped...i've read some threads about complications i've never even heard of....with all that said...i dont know if it has been luck...me...or my surgeon....but i really can't complain...with an exception to the excess skin...and now i'm lucky that my insurance is going to cover my panniculectomy...:thumbup:

i got my 5th fill yesterday...i didnt eat last night...and 4 breakfast i had a banana and a yougurt....and the same for lunch...i like to test my fills out with mushies....to get a sense of my restriction....which i can tell is absolutely perfect again; dr. paya!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup:

omg!!!!!!! that sounds horrible...i'm sorry u had to go through all that...my dr. fills me while i'm standing...i feel absolutely nothing...
