  1. i haven't gained any of my weight back...but its in the back of my mind everyday!!!!!!!! i know the possibility is there 4 me..u...and every other weight loss patient...so no1 should come down hard on u....u have the right attitude...i can tell by ur post...ur going to do it again!!!!!!! do u ever look at b4 pics??????? when i get the urge 2 not eat what i'm suppose too...i look at the b4 pics posted on the fridge...and then run as fast as possible....lol
  2. i have NO idea how many cc's are in my band...lol...and i get asked that all the time...i'm like should i know that...how about this...just the right amount...lol...i found out i was getting the realize band 15 minutes b4 surgery...if ur a duck...than quack!!!!quack!!!!quack!!!!!
  3. lol!!!!!!:thumbup:...i was the biggest steak..trip-tip..brisket over-eating woman on earth!!!!!!!! now when i c a piece of red meat i know what a pain and how long its going to take 4 me to chew it and get it down...soooooo aaaaaaaaaaa now its pass the moist chicken!!!!!!!!!:sad:
  4. yay!!!!!!!!!!! all my fellow dr. paya patients...he is the absolute best!!!!!!!!!!!!! so supportive...wants nothing but the best 4 his patients!!!!!!!!!!! dr. paya is a household name and i'm one of his biggest fans!!!!!!!!! i have lost 116 pounds in 6 months and two days!!!!!!!!!! thank u dr. paya!!!!!!!!!!!

    its a whole different way of living...counting calories...exercising...mentally feeling different about food...not using food 4 pleasure or pain...getting fit..the lap band itself is not a quick fix...its just a tool...1 that i love!!!!!!! no regrets at all...but be mentally prepared to change ur outlook on food and exercise.....

  7. I measure all my food out on sunday night 4 the work week ahead...i make tuna...celery and p-nut butter...lowfat yougurt...cottage cheese...etc....etc..i have all my little half cup food containers ready for breakfast...lunch and dinner...
  8. as of yesterday i walked 5-6 miles fast pace and uphill 6-7 days a week...i started jogging 2 out of the 6 miles yesterday....i cant wait for my son to b on summer vacation...then it will b time to hit the gym!!!!!!!!
  9. good morning; i was banded on oct 6th 2008 by Dr. Paya in west hills, ca...i started out my journey at 296 pounds....yesterday was my 6th month post-op anniversary...i am down to 181.4 pounds...i do have a lap band...i am NOT a bypass patient...i understand these results are not typical....i was told by my surgeon it would probably take me 16 months to lose 100 pounds...i do follow the program to a t....and exercise a lot!!!!!!!!!!!! i have spoke to a few people that are saying its not good to have lost this much weight so fast....my suregeon knows how much weight i've lost and doesnt see a problem with my #'s...i was wondering if there is anyone else thats banded and has lost as much weight in a short amount of time...and what your surgeon has told you....i feel fine...i have plenty of energy...my only complaint is the amount of hair i'm losing...i would really love to hear that its okay to lose this much....this fast....

  12. i was wondering if anyone on here is a patient of dr. paya's in west hills, ca....i was banded by dr. paya on oct 6th 2008...i weighed in at 296...i'm down to 188...yes 188...i'm banded...and had surgery in '08...a lot of people tell me i had the bypass due to the amount of weight i've lost...but im 100 i have a band...lol
