Hey there, thanks for the picture comment. To answer your question, the real way I am able to do it is to just give the band a chance to take it's course. I don't really have an excersize routine at all (i know, shame shame)- to be honest I just don;t enjoy excersizing in the least bit. I do watch what I eat and make good choices, but of course I am human and slip up every once and a while. You will do great, good luck!!

Hey there Debbie, I have to ask you...how have you been so sucessful with out a fill? I am 2 1/2 weeks postop and am finding myself already hitting platues! I will be stuck at a number for at least 5-6 days at a time! Do you exercise regularly and what do you eat in any given day? Any advice would be greatly appriciated!

Other than hitting a platu every other week or so, no struggles yet. My preop diet consisted of 2 EAS low carb protien drinks a day and one 250 calorie or less/ 15 carb or less "Smart One" frozen meal a day. A LOT of water and a some sugar free jello here and there- pretty simple. I know the first week was tough, B/C I hate sleeping on my back! I am very happy to be back on the tummy!

Oh luvs, thanks for your sweet comment. Congrats on your new adventure!! Being banded 9/22, you are FOR SURE in bandster hell! Meaning, you are still faced with SO much hunger, b/c your band is empty. Once you get a fill, you will feel 100x better- guaranteed! Good luck with your journey & please email me if you ever have any questions.

Hey there, I am great! How are you feeling & how is your weightloss going? Have you had your first fill yet? I have mine Monday..so far I am down 24 pounds..averaging about 2 pounds a week..kind of slow, but glad it is coming off.

Hey there, you will absolutly love Dr. Morton- he is amazingly kind and very knowledgeable. I am very happy I choose him as my surgeon and I think you will be too! I haven't had 1 single complication from surgery and I am now 4 months out. The only thing I am experiencing right now is hair loss from the weightloss trauma. I am down from 218 to 163 right now and a size 18 to a 12, so I will tell you it is deff. a great experience, but it doesn't come easy. I still have about 30 pounds to go and it is getting more difficult every day. I have begun running 3x a week, which is torture, but it is working for the last bit of pounds- good luck & please let me know if you ever have any questions!

Hey there... good to hear from you! Sounds like we are on the same page, I am down 36 pounds now and have had 3 fills..up to 6.8 cc's in my 10 cc band. I really can't tell anymore if I am at the sweet spot, it is such a confussing feeling! I happy for your success! Can't wait to see how much more you loose in the future!!
-
Well, after my first fill, honestly I didn't even feel like I had anything done. It took about 3 or 4 fills to get restriction, but everyone is different. You need to be very careful with not being able to swallow water- my Dr. always says it is best to take it slow with the fills, b/c it is hard to get the spot if you over fill & then have to take some out. You will be fine though- just call him if it doesnt get better, & don't get dehidrated. Good luck!! Today I weighed...& am down 46.5 pounds! YAY! I can;t wait for 50!!

Hey there 303! Yes, I was banded on the 27th and feel great! I am completly back to normal and even sleeping on my tummy now! I am down about 6 pounds since surgery, so am averaging about 3 pounds a week. To answer your question regarding what I did after I got my date set, I started my preop diet a week earlier than I was supposed to. I wanted to really get a good start on things. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Good luck on you journey!
